World Synod of Bishops At present the World Synod of Bishops meeting in Rome is well into its deliberations on the theme "Evangelisation". The annual Eucharistic Festival takes place at Aquinas College this Sunday afternoon (October 27) at 3 p.m. The function is intended to be the closing ceremony for the observance of the Holy Year that has been conducted throughout the archdiocese in 1974 in preparation for the observance in Rome in 1975. The special guest of honour at the Aquinas festival will be the visiting dignitary and Church-hero, Cardinal Mindszenty. Archbishop Goody will preach the homily for the occasion. M.T.T. buses will be leaving St. George's Terrace regularly after 1.15 p.m. Those proceeding to Aquinas College by car are referred to the accompanying map (at right) for directions on parking.
