Charismaties; guide for youth activity Supplementary to his previous statement establishing the position
of the Charismatic Movement in the Archdiocese, Archbishop Goody has issued guidelines specifically for the involvement of youth in this Renewal. The Archbishop has addressed himself specifically, to two groups — those in the final two years of secondary education (16 to 17 years) and those at tertiary studies or at work (17 to 25 years).

The full guidelines are published on page two and contain advice to how • parents as should associate with their children in this activity and also the quality of prayer and faith content in charismatic meetings.
"Either Father B. Murphy, S.J., of St. Thomas More College, or Brother C. Manion, -of tile Christian Brothers. Highgate, -would be the people to contact," the Archbishop added. Features of the Archbishop's May statement were: • "The attempt to describe a wide-ranging movement of the Spirit in our day is not intended to suggest exclusive possession of the charisms or gifts of the Holy Spirit by any one group within the Church."
• "Rather we should be reminded that the whole nature and life of the Church is a gift of the Holy Spirit, outpoured in many and generous ways." • "It should also be noted that this form of renewal does not introduce any new doctrine, though it does encourage a greater awarene s of. and openness to, the sanctifying power of tile Holy Spirit, along with a deepening of faith and the growth of a more expectant faith." (• SEE ALSO PAGE 2)
The Archbishop also ••••••••••#######.04.0004.•~0.~~00041. announced that the "Pas- i toral Ministry" to which , he referred in his statement of May 16 had now been set up in the Archdiocese. Its task is to "encourage co-ordinate and to direct all the prayer groups of this renewal movement. groups "Existing associated should be with this 'Pastoral Ministry' and no new ones should be established without its co-operation and advice.
