Churches Meet on Industry THIS
week saw the first meeting inWestern Australia of an ecumenical group specifically concerned with the role of the Churches in industry.

A special 'Mass was offered by Father Kelly in the newly opened Our Lady of Lourdes Church, the altar of which was a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Kelly. The marriage between Sidney James Kelly and Mary Angelina, Smith was solemnised in St. Mary's Cathedral on September 29, 1917. with Father Raphael Pace officiating. Bishop M. McKeon presided at the Mass and in his short address he congratulated Mr. and Mrs. Kelly in the name of His Grace the Archbishop, all those present and on his own behalf. He said he was genuinely happy to share in the happiness aud joy of this golden jubilee celebration.
The Inter-Church Industrial Mission (IM), already established in several other States, was formally set up when representatives appointed by their churches met last Tuesday in Burt Hall. Those present were all church officials. The main decision of the gathering was to invite lay representatives from management and unions to be present at future meetings. The Catholic Churzh was represented by Father J. O'Brien. Others present were Rev. R. Langshaw (Anglican). Rev. R G. Birch (Presbyterian). Capt E. La(Salvation motte Army). Mr. J. E.
