„ for Those Things Which Pertain To God DUTCH MEN DECEIVED CELEBRANT
priests who became involved in what T'0 was termed a "wedding" of two homosexuals in Rotterdam, Holland, have denied they knew the two men considered the Mass a religious wedding ceremony. The priests, Father J. C. Omtzigt, who offered the Mass, and his superior, Father H. M. J. Stoelinga, pastor of St. Antonius Abbot parish, said they feel "terribly cheated" by the young men. • NO REASON They said the intentions the men gave for the Mass did not give any reason for suspicion. The two men asked for the Mass to commemorate the birthday of the mother of one of them, for a new business venture, and in honour of their friendship. During the Mass, said in the chapel of the residence of the Brothers of the Immaculate Conception in Rotterdam, the two men, who run a night club in the town, exchanged rings. Many observers believe the whole affair was a publicity stunt by the two men. Harry Rietra (26) and Jean Cnockhart (24) for the night club.
