Passion F eed your roses Tableau now with DAVID GRAYS
A custom which is common in Malta has been introduced here by a Maltese migrant Mr. John Pace of Bassendean.
In Malta it is customary for Catholics, after the Liturgical function on Good Friday, to carry in procession statues representing the various stages of the passion and death of Christ. In an attractive setting in the garage of his home a t 62 lolanthe Street, Bassendean, Mr. Pace has assembled a Passion Tableau modelled on this Maltese custom. It contains eight clay figures which were moulded by another Maltese migrant, Mr. Peter Farrugia of East Perth. The whole tableau is dominated by a large painting of the Suffering Christ. This was painted by Mr. Joseph Dimechi of Bentley. Mr. Pace who is pictured putting final touches to the tableau has spent three months working on it in his spare time. He invites the public to visit the tableau which will be open each evening this week and all day on Good Friday.
