COI OGNE, March 17-(NC).-Forty German children, who had spent three years in Ireland as the guests of the Irish Red Cross, were found to have almost forgotten their mother tongue, when they came home. Sonic of the girls and boys addressed their bewildered mothers and fathers with an Irish brogue which the latter were unable to make out. A total of 325 German children have been invited by the Irish Red Cross so far. Others art to be invited later.

Bishop Alain Guy not de Boismenu, M.S.C., retired Vicar Apostolic of Papua, with the French Government's Cross of the Legion of Honour. The 78 -year -old, French -born prelate wa, given the decoration in recognition of the honour he has brought to his country in devoting almost half a century of his life to the welfare and advancement of the Papuans. As a Missionary of the Sacred Heart in Papua, he founded a native Order of Nuns and promoted a native clergy.
