McPHEE--DALTON WEDDING

on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, August 15, white arum lilies grac:fullv adorned the altar at 11,e Que-_..si of Martyr's Church, Maylands, when an exceptionally pretty wedding was solemnised during a holy Nuptial Mass, between Maud, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dalton (pioneer memthe Maylands parish), and bers Alex McPhee, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles McPhee. of Perth. The Rev, Father Dunne officiated. There Mrs. was a crowded congregation. Tim O'Connor presided at the organ. .tnd the choir rendered Webb's Mass. SaluMr. Tom Power sang I3ordesi's taris- and Gounod's "Ave Maria." The bride looked a charming, gracetul figure as she entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a beautifully designed model gown of white French cloque. Her exquisite silk

tulle veil, richly embroidered with true lovers' knots, was caught into a halo of tiny French orange blossom, and then fell in very effective misty folds She carried a over her long train. sheaf of choice white camellias and rosebuds, entwined with maidenhair fern, from which was suspended a miniature horseshoe made of white satin and clusters of orange blossom. Miss Molly Ryan acted as bridesmaid, wearing a very attractive frock of shell pink moire taffeta with small pink hat and eye veil, She carried a sheaf of pink tinted rosebuds and maidenhair The dainty little maid attendfern. ant. Fay Gilhooley (cousin of bride), w ore a picturesque Early _Victorian frock also of shell pink taffeta, with pretty halo hat of same shade: her posy was pink rosebuds and maidenhair fern. Mr. Brian Dalton (brother of bride) acted as best man.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's par. ents. where Mrs. Dalton received 40 guests, wearing a very becoming gown of brown silk charmant over which was worn a three-quarter length coat of bronze French lace with smart picture hat to tone. Mr. William Egan acted as chairman, and the usual toasts were honoured and congratulatory telegrams read. The happy young couple left by car The for a tour of the South-West. bride travelled in a strikingly pretty ensemble of dove-grey continental crepe, with a chic little hat of marina blue and accessories to correspond. Mr, and Mss. MgPhee received many valuable and useful gifts. The bride was an ardent Child of Mary. and her gift to Our Lady's Altar on het wedding day was a blue lamp.
