Th© Final' Obsequies of die R emoval from On the afternoon of Sunday last, the remains of the late Archbishop were removed from the Hospital of St. John of God to the Cathedral. Despite the boisterous weather, a great part of the. route of the funeral procession from Subiaco to Victoria Square was line,' with crowds of people. The fact suggested that not, alone by his intimate associates was the late Archbishop loved, but that from hosts Of men and women of all ages and in all walks of life he had won respect and affection. Something more than idle curiosity must have led so many lumdreds of people to brave the inclement weather and to kneel in the streets (as many elderly ladies and a few men knelt), and to stand bareheaded (as most men stood) in pouring rain, until they were drenched to the skin, unmindful of the downpour and intent only on rendering silent homage to one whom they revered. The late Archbishop died ar 4.45 p.m. on Friday, the 24th., Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians. The body was embalmed that evening and lay in state in the chapel of the Con-
