Hello.

Design Statement -

I approach architecture as an act of exploration — a dialogue between emotion, form, and experience. Each project is an opportunity to evoke feeling and curiosity, using planning, materiality, and circulation to shape how people move and sense space. I enjoy breaking conventions of hierarchy and composition, allowing each design to evolve its own expressive language while maintaining clarity of purpose and spatial drama.

After earning my BA (Hons) Architecture (RIBA Part 1) from the University of Brighton, I spent 1.5 years at a design firm, advancing from intern to Junior Architect. My experience spans residential, commercial, and corporate projects, where I developed strong skills in concept development, interior planning, visualization, and client coordination. I am proficient in Rhino, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, and Revit.

I see myself as experimental yet disciplined, socially conscious, and deeply collaborative. I thrive under pressure and approach each challenge with curiosity and composure. My goal is to create architecture that transcends function — spaces that are emotionally charged, materially honest, and alive with livable drama.

Project No.1 - Commercial

Title - Beachouse Retreat

Set against the Arabian Sea, this commercial beach house is conceived as both retreat and stage — a place for intimate getaways, corporate gatherings, and weddings. Elevated above ground to resist fluctuating sea levels, the structure rises as a sculptural form, its approach from road, through terraced gardens and a ramped ascent, into compressed thresholds that release dramatically into the grand lounge and the sea beyond.

The program balances collective and private needs. A lounge, dining hall, and transition space extend seamlessly to the deck and swimming pool, designed to host large events. Above, sculptural stairs lead to three panoramic bedrooms, a game area, and a kitchenette, each framing views of sea and mangroves. Exterior services — bathrooms, storage, guard facilities — are integrated discreetly to preserve the architecture’s experiential clarity.

Site challenges — corrosion, fluctuating tides, and arid climate — inform the material palette. Durable stone cladding, reinforced concrete, and mud plaster finishes resist environmental stresses while drawing from local vernacular practices. Natural materials reinforce sustainability and embed the project in its coastal context.

Architecturally, the house speaks in a brutalist language: monumental, raw, and expressive. Volumes are carved to stage glimpses of horizon and landscape, inviting curiosity and discovery. The spatial journey thrives on tension — compression against release, density against lightness, enclosure against horizon. More than a beach house, the project becomes a poetic confrontation with nature, where the drama of circulation and the honesty of material form an enduring dialogue with the sea.

Project No.2 - Residential

Title - Brutalist Residence

Located in DHA Phase 8, Karachi, this 500-square-yard residence explores curvilinear brutalism — a dialogue between solidity and motion, rawness and refinement. Positioned near the Arabian Sea, the project responds to its corrosive climate and harsh sunlight through a spatial strategy that balances openness with protection, exposure with retreat.

The house is conceived as a vessel of livable drama, where circulation becomes the architecture’s narrative core. Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s principles of expansion and contraction, spaces unfold through a series of sculpted compressions and releases. The movement from one area to another evokes tension and relief — revealing glimpses of the exterior through controlled frames. The glass lift, sculptural staircase, and central courtyard anchor this experience, guiding the visitor through a sequence that is both dramatic and serene.

Programmatically, the residence accommodates six bedrooms, multiple lounges, dual kitchens, a theatre, gym, and swimming pool. Public spaces such as the drawing room and courtyard open toward light and view, while private quarters are carefully oriented to maintain shade and natural ventilation.

Materially, the architecture is grounded in combed plaster over raw concrete, preserving the tactile honesty of brutalism while resisting the sea’s corrosive effects. Openings are strategically carved to control heat gain, ensure privacy, and frame the landscape.

This residence is not merely a structure — it is a study in movement, light, and spatial emotion. Through deliberate circulation, shifting volumes, and raw material expression, the project transforms domestic life into an experience of sculptural drama — a poetic confrontation between permanence and motion, seclusion and exposure.
