AI Readiness Training s part of its ongoing initiatives to enhance AI literacy among employees, Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons conducted an AI Readiness A Training in collaboration with EMIC Training Center. An Icon Goes Electric Almoayyed Motors, the country’s official Ford distributor, has brought the Mustang Mach-E GT into

Sitra showroom. It’s a fully electric SUV carrying a badge that’s stood for six decades of performance, and the move to an electric powertrain has not diluted that identity. The Mach-E GT shows that a Mustang can handle daily driving and family life while still delivering serious performance credentials, and the specification sheet confirms it. The numbers are the whole point of a GT badge. This version puts out 487 hp and 950 Nm of torque through electric all-wheel drive, enough for 0 to 100 km/h in around 3.5 seconds. MagneRide adaptive suspension keeps that power composed and controlled through corners. On a full charge, Ford quotes up to 419 km of range, comfortable for a full week of commuting around Manama with room to spare for a longer weekend drive.

Styling With a Familiar Shape The tri-bar tail lights and that muscular, sculpted front end borrow straight from Mustang’s design language, just stretched over an SUV body. Inside, it seats five, with a 60/40 split-fold rear bench, an adjustable boot floor, and a front trunk tucked under the bonnet where an engine would normally sit. The seats are trimmed in ActiveX material.

Tech That Earns Its Keep The dashboard is dominated by a 15.5-inch SYNC 4A touchscreen running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with wireless charging and FordPass app access built in. A B&O sound system is available on higher specs. Beyond entertainment, the connected features let owners check on the car and manage settings remotely, adding real everyday convenience. Ford Co-Pilot360 covers the driver-assistance side, with feature availability varying by trim.

The Day-to-Day Drive One-pedal driving and energy recovery come standard, and Ford has set the Mach-E up for home and public charging alike. Because there’s no engine up front, the cabin remains composed and refined at speed, a noticeable benefit for daily comfort. First, we handle heavy machinery and critical equipment ranging from, Trucks, Forklifts, Buses etc. from UD Trucks, Ford Trucks, IVECO, Crown, Nissan, Doosan, Komatsu and Ashok Leyland, and crane components like Tadano and Demag that power major infrastructure projects across the Kingdom. Second, we maintain high-velocity commercial consumables: tires from Toyo, Continental, BKT, and Laufenn; lubricants from Lukoil and Elf; batteries from Exide, Charger Gold, and Atlas; alongside German garage equipment and maintenance systems from Würth. Beyond inventory handling, our daily rhythm involves cross-functional coordination across Sales, IT, Accounts, and government ministries for regulatory clearances and consumer protection compliance, all while maintaining rigorous workplace safety standards as Safety Officer Coordinator.

Not many people build their own AI application. What made you decide to create one?

Freedom to Build: From the Frontlines to AI-Driven Logistics Since joining Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons in October 2016 as a Call Centre Agent, Aqeel Mohsen Al Maskati has charted a dynamic career progression across five roles to become Assistant Manager – Warehouse In-Charge for the Heavy Equipment Division at the Sitra Main Warehouse. Overseeing complex logistics across heavy machinery brands, commercial consumables, and safety governance, Aqeel combines hands on operational leadership with modern digital innovation through custom AI application development.

What has kept you moving forward across five distinct roles at Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons? My progression through Call Centre, Sales, Administration, and Warehouse Leadership gave me an end-to-end perspective of our entire business. Starting in customer support taught me the true operational cost of delays; working in sales and admin built my understanding of margins, supply lines, and regulatory compliance. Experiencing every link in the chain showed me that logistics is not just storage, it is the operational backbone for our service centers, retail counters, and commercial clients across Bahrain. That complete visibility continues to drive my approach every day.

What does running the Main Warehouse demand of you and your team on a daily basis? Precision, extensive product knowledge, and structured teamwork. Leading a team of 10, we manage a diverse

The initiative began after the company nominated me and my colleagues to attend an introductory AI workshop. Seeing the potential, I decided to expand my technical knowledge and utilize the existing resources already available to us specifically our Microsoft 365 environment and the Power Platform suite. I built a custom AI-integrated application to automate record-keeping and live stock tracking, successfully shifting manual paperwork into automated, centralized data. By taking what we learned and pushing it further, we streamlined daily dispatch times, eliminated paper trails, and created measurable operational efficiencies.

As an INJAZ Bahrain mentor, what lesson do you always leave the students with? I teach them that professional adaptability and intellectual curiosity accelerate long-term growth. Career progression is rarely a straight line. When you step outside your comfort zone, ask deep questions, and understand the core purpose behind your tasks, you turn an ordinary role into an avenue for leadership. I encourage them to engage with their peers and mentors proactively, take initiative, and never hesitate to build new skills.

What comes next for you and the Heavy Equipment Division? Our focus is twofold: deepening our digital transformation and expanding proactive market outreach. Operationally, we are working toward zero-latency tracking across every stock movement. Commercially, we continue to build brand awareness through direct ground engagements, from our annual commercial roadshow at the Manama Central Market to corporate partner events like the annual Alba Sports Day. My priority is to keep modernizing our supply chain infrastructure while developing our team to support YKA’s continued market leadership.
