IThe Performance Whisperer
n the seventeen years at Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons, Hussain Saeed Alnasheet has grown from workshop technician to a regional award winner. As an After-sales Nontechnical Trainer for Infiniti, Nissan, and Renault, he transforms service teams through observation, mentorship, and a people-focused approach. For Hussain, elevating performance standards is about unlocking the excellence he knows every team member possesses.
What drew you to automotive training?
I started out with a spanner in my hand. Fresh from the University of Bahrain with a Mechanical Engineering degree, I worked as a mechanic before transitioning into customer service. I could speak the workshop's language whilst understanding exactly what customers needed. The real turning point came when I won an annual skills competition. It showed me I had something worth sharing. If I'd reached this level of performance, why couldn't I help others do the same? Training wasn't just a career move; it became my passion.
At Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons, you provide nontechnical after-sales training. What does a typical week look like in this role?
I focus on soft skills: communication, active listening, customer service, and handling difficult situations. My day starts with customer feedback reports to identify areas for improvement, then I design training sessions around those
findings. I also spend time in the reception area, observing how staff interact with customers and assessing workflow efficiency. My week is a mix of observation, analysis, and delivering training that actually makes a difference. While training for three brands (Nissan, Infiniti, and Renault), how do you manage the different standards and requirements for each of them? Soft skills apply across all brands, but product knowledge must be brand specific. Infiniti has five dedicated service advisors; Nissan has eight and Renault has two. I stagger training sessions across weeks and months to avoid disrupting daily operations. The real challenge is when all three brands need training at the same time. Suddenly, everything's due, and I'm juggling deadlines. That's when I lean on our technical trainer. We split responsibilities, manage our time carefully, and make it work.
Tell us a little about your contributions to the Injaz program.
Several members of Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons volunteer their time to the Injaz programme, an initiative that helps young people explore career paths and get a real feel for workplace life. Every couple of months, I lead facility tours for the youth, walk them through different departments, explain what each role involves and what skills they'll need. It's become more than just part of my job. It's a passion project. There's something incredible about sharing knowledge in a way that genuinely excites people.
What's been your proudest professional moment at Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons to date?
Winning Best Service Advisor for Infiniti in the Middle East was one of those moments that has stayed with me. To say I was emotional doesn't quite cover it. But honestly? I'm equally proud of the journey that got me there: technician to service advisor, then customer care, and now trainer. Each step taught me something new. Every technique, every approach I learned, I'm passing on to my team.
