PROUDLY MADE IN EUROPE
We take immense pride in our European production heritage. Leerdam Crisal Glass (LCGlass) has been shaping the history of glass in Europe since the 18th century, with roots in Leerdam, the Netherlands, and Marinha Grande, Portugal. Our organisation unites Northern and Southern Europe, embracing diversity and fostering innovation. We challenge each other to innovate and improve daily.
Our products are meticulously designed and manufactured in Europe, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation, with a strong focus on environmental and social concerns. We are committed to sustainability, using energy-efficient furnaces and green energy wherever possible.
For 250 years, we have been designing, producing, and selling glassware under the brand Royal Leerdam for consumers and ONIS for professionals. Our glassware is found in restaurants, bars, and the cosiest homes worldwide. We dedicate our dayto-day business to those looking for quality and originality, believing in the power of local production to create sustainable, high-quality goods that stand the test of time.
GLASS. A CLEAR CHOICE.
Recycling has always been at the heart of our business! We aim to produce 100% recyclable glass products with zero impact on the environment, assuring that the next generations can live in a better world. We do this by applying sustainable processes throughout the organization and supporting social, economic, and cultural progress in the communities where we live and work.
WHAT WE ARE PROUD OF:
100% Recyclable Products: Our products are completely recyclable without compromising quality.
Food-safe Glassware: Our glassware is 100% food-safe and environmentally friendly.

Decarbonization Research: We’re actively researching decarbonization methods like electrification and the use of hydrogen.
Eco-Conscious Manufacturing: For years, we have been leading in eco-friendly manufacturing, by implementing the most sustainable furnaces in the industry in both production units.
Cutting waste and preserving resources: From our product packaging to catalogues and leaflets, we are now transitioning to using stands and displays made of compressed cardboard, which can be fully recycled after use.
Innovative Repurpose cycling: By repurposing existing molds, we give discontinued products a new life cycle and adapt them to current market trends.W
Environmental Collaboration: We collaborate closely with national environmental and waste entities to promote recycling and upcycling.
Paperless Operations: Minimizing paper usage through digitalization of all our processes.
Diversity and Social Justice: We celebrate diversity, support racial equality, and advocate for social justice.

Sharing is caring: We welcome local communities to visit our plants and learn about the amazing glass production process; we share the best we make.
WHAT SETS US APART
The product is designed with a conical shape to ensure an optimal and stable fit with standard Boston Shakers. It benefits from Xtratuff treatment which provides increased resistance to chipping and impact.
The product is designed with the ideal internal space to hold popular clear ice shapes*, from large cubes and spheres to elongated spears. This ensures optimal chilling with minimal dilution, making it perfect for premium cocktail service.
The product has an elegant thin yet robust stem. Proof that elegance can go hand in hand with sturdiness.
Glassware designed to bring out maximum aroma and flavor for increased quality perception in serves.
The product has a very fine polished rim for an elegant look & feel and refined drinking experience.
The product is designed to be stacked for space saving purposes.
This special thermal after-process strengthens the upper portion of the glass, the area most vulnerable to breakage. It increases the resistance to thermal and mechanical shock which results in remarkably durable glassware with prolonged service life.
The colour is embedded in the mass of the glass during its production, and not applied by an after-process, and therefore fully resistant to dishwashing and scratching.
In the ONIS collection, we can find the most iconic glasses, with a timeless and striking design that many know only by the silhouette, such as ICON, Flashback and SPKSY.
The Glassology Contest challenges professionals working in the Drinks Industry, to develop and create their ultimate glassware design. As a result of that, some of our product ranges find their roots in this competition, including: The Gats, 1924, the Tulip Punch Bowl and Divergence.
ONIS’ Xtratuff treatment is a super strengthening thermal after-process for “pressed” tumblers.
The Xtratuff process is only performed on the upper third of the glass, which increases its resistance to thermal and mechanical shock. By treating this upper portion at a lower temperature than tempering, you put less stress on the glass. This has a positive effect on how the glass breaks and also improves its overall durability.

GLASS HANDLING GUIDE
WHY GLASSWARE BREAKS
Glassware is one of the most important tools used in the hospitality industry. It is also one of the hardest materials around, yet under certain conditions it can also be fragile. The number one reason for glass breakage is improper handling. This guide presents you and your staff with insights into how to minimize breakage through proper handling of your glassware. By applying these tips you can save 20-30% on glassware costs.
THERMAL SHOCK
Glass holds temperature, and a rapid change in temperature can cause enough stress to result in breakage. The main moments when thermal shock loss can occur are in the dishwashing cycle and when preparing drinks. To minimize loss always allow glasses to reach room temperature before and after they are washed and pre heat glasses that will hold warm beverages.
MECHANICAL SHOCK
Mechanical shock in glassware is the direct result of contact with another object, such as a spoon, a beer tap, another glass, or a piece of china. This kind of contact can cause a minute abrasion, invisible to the eye, but a source of weakness in the glass, making it more susceptible to breakage from impact or thermal shock.
