Officials rename park to honor councilman By HAYDEN SUMLIN hayden@appenmedia.com SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — The Sandy Springs City Council passed a resolution Dec. 16 to rename a park in southeast Sandy Springs as Tibby DeJulio Park at Windsor Meadows, honoring the councilman's 20 years in city leadership. The last meeting of 2025 had everything: laughs, a few tears and a celebration of three longtime council members, who left their mark on the 20-year-old city. DeJulio was elected to the District 5 seat on the inaugural Sandy Springs City Council in November 2005 after working for incorporation for more than a decade with Mayor Eva Galambos's Committee for Sandy Springs.
