MILTON, Ga. — Members of the Milton City Council weighed in May 4 on projects that could be funded through transportation sales tax if approved by Fulton County voters this fall. Milton expects to collect approximately $44 million over five years if the third iteration of Transportation Special Purpose
Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST III) is implemented in April 2027. Deputy Public Works Director Robert Dell-Ross presented the project list Milton will submit to Fulton County before May 31. The list is broken into three tiers. Tier 1 projects prioritize operations and safety upgrades. It designates $11 million to various operations and safety improvements. Dell-Ross specified improvements to two roundabouts
on Hopewell Road and transportation-related infrastructure. Southeast Crabapple, a public area within the Mayfield district, is identified for improvements, and Dell-Ross said the council would receive more information on the project later this summer. Improvements to the Deerfield Connector between Deerfield Parkway and Ga. 9 are included
