Egg hunt draws thousands to Cambridge High campus By HANNAH YAHNE hannah@appenmedia.com MILTON, Ga. — An estimated 3,000 people attended Milton’s community egg hunt March 21 to enjoy food, outdoor activities and hunt for eggs spread across the Cambridge High School football field. “The community egg hunt is such a fun reminder of what

makes Milton special,” Emily Salerno, Milton Community Outreach Manager said. “Having this one on such a beautiful day, with incredible support from our sponsors and vendors, made it even better.” Participants raced against others in their age group to collect plastic eggs which were exchanged for goodie bags of candy. Throughout the 4-hour

event, 16 egg hunts took place which included a sensorysensitive egg hunt. “The community egg hunt is about more than just egg hunts,” the city posted on Facebook. “From giant inflatable slides to climbing walls to trucks with treats and a whole lot more, there was plenty to kids and their folks amused and engaged for hours on end.”

MILTON, Ga. — In a room overlooking the Atlanta National Golf Course, Alpharetta Lions Club members, award recipients and spouses gathered March 26 to celebrate select public safety personnel for their service to the cities of Alpharetta and Milton. Two individuals from each city’s public safety departments were recognized as outstanding members of the police, fire or emergency communications departments. It’s the 25th year that the Alpharetta Lions Club has honored local public safety officials. After the twin towers collapsed Sept. 11, 2001, Lions Club members wanted to recognize heroes in their communities for serving with the same bravery and commitment as those who selflessly saved lives on 9/11.
