New Home Depot may trigger retail in North Forsyth By JON WILCOX jon@appenmedia.com FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A new Home Depot is expected to be the next addition to an expanding retail environment in north Forsyth County. At a June 18 meeting, the Forsyth County Commission reviewed plans for the big box store near the intersection of Browns Bridge and Keith Bridge roads. Commissioners granted a rezoning for 21 acres zoned for agricultural use to commercial business district use. Austin Edelen, representative for Home Depot, said the business is a prototype store for the home improvement retailer. "A lot of people travel through here. A lot of people will be seeing it, and so they're really proud of this project," Edelen said at an April 28 Planning Commission hearing.

Travis Jenkins and his girlfriend, Alicia Santiago, attend the seventh annual Juneteenth Celebration in downtown Sugar Hill, hosted by the Black Women’s Association of Sugar Hill and the City of Sugar Hill. “I love the multicultural atmosphere where everybody gets along,” Jenkins said.
