More bands, more sponsors on tap for 4th of July Parade By HAYDEN SUMLIN hayden@appenmedia.com DUNWOODY, Ga. — The Dunwoody Homeowners Association met for the last time June 22 before its Fourth of July Parade, the largest Independence Day march in Georgia. President Tim Brown said he’s had an opportunity to watch volunteers assemble the parade up close for a couple weeks as the homeowner association’s new chief. “I don’t know that I’ve ever been as proud to be associated with anything as I am with this year’s parade,” Brown said. “The work and the time and the effort that goes into putting the parade on … I appreciate everyone involved.” The Grand Marshal of the DHA’s Fourth of July Parade is former Dunwoody High School athletic director and head football coach Mike Nash. He wrapped up his decade at the helm of the high school football program with back-to-back playoff appearances. Nash announced his resignation Feb. 25 and has

After the Dunwoody Homeowner Association’s June 22 meeting, President Tim Brown said motions to support the proposed affordable senior housing development, with conditions, failed.

Dominium is a nationwide developer, owner and operator of affordable senior housing developments, giving people aged 55 and older a place to qualify for subsidized housing. Dominium Vice President Shaun Reinhardt said the affordable housing developer is a long-term owner and operator with more than 8,000 homes across the state.
