ROSWELL, Ga. — Newly elected mayor and city council members began their first days in office with a private swearing in ceremony attended by family and friends Jan. 5 at Roswell City Hall. Council members Jennifer Phillippi, Eren Brumley and Chris Zack will join the dais alongside sitting council members Sarah Beeson, Allen Sells and Christine

Hall. They will govern alongside Mayor Mary Robichaux who won in the December 2024 runoff election. The public ceremony will take place at City Hall before the council meeting Jan. 12. An open reception will begin at 6 p.m. and the ceremonial swearing in will kick off the City Council meeting at 7 p.m. — Hannah Yahne

Alpharetta City Council swears in 3 members By JON WILCOX jon@appenmedia.com ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Alpharetta welcomed two new council members and seated a reelected incumbent Jan. 5. During an evening swearing-in ceremony, council members Kirk Driskell, Katie Reeves and Douglas DeRito were administered the oath of

office and took their seats on the dais. In Post 1, Driskell was unchallenged and replaces Donald Mitchell, who reached his term limit. In Post 2, Reeves beat opponents Bart Dean and Donna Shaw Murphy for the seat vacated in June by Brian Will.
