ALPHARETTA, Ga. — What might look like a classic Southern crawfish boil on the surface is, at its heart, something much deeper—a community gathering with a shared purpose. The annual Crawfish Boil benefiting the Brady Corbett Fund brought together supporters April 18 for live music, food and fellowship, all aimed at helping children with hearing loss receive

critical care and hearing devices. The event, now a tradition, began as a way to honor the life of Brady Corbett, a young boy whose legacy continues to shape the mission of the fund. Since its founding, the organization has focused on providing what supporters often describe as the “gift of sound,” assisting families who might otherwise be unable to afford essential hearing services.

ROSWELL, Ga. — Residents have until May 4 to weigh in on how Roswell’s transportation tax dollars should be spent if Fulton County voters approve its renewal this fall. A survey posted by the city asks respondents to rate their support for 18 potential projects on a scale of 1-5. The list includes expanding connectivity to Roswell’s Town Center and other commercial activity centers identified in the city’s Comprehensive Growth Plan. Roswell is identifying projects that could be funded through Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) III, which will appear on Fulton County ballots in November. At an April 14 work session, the Roswell City Council discussed which projects should be included on a list due to be submitted to Fulton County by May 31. Since January, transportation staff have narrowed the list from 25 projects totaling nearly $144 million. The city anticipates between $85 million to $95 million in revenue over the course of the five-year tax. The project list presented in the April 14 Committees of Council meeting includes $25 million for road resurfacing, a proposal that sparked debate among council members.
