GRIFFIN COMMENTS—GEN 19 (Gen 19:1) And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; The Angel of the Lord remained with Abraham while these two went on to Sodom to “See if those things were true,” that had been reported about these cities. Naturally they went to the righteous man’s home as they had gone to the Friend of God yesterday. He greeted them in the usual way. He was sitting in the gate, which implies that he was one of the judges of the city. He knew what it was to walk with God. He knew what it was to worship God. He knew what it was to witness God's presence.
Sodom would have had a Testimony—Win. Sodom would have had a Temple—ToWorship. Sodom would have had time to wait.
