Here’s a quick and easy checklist that can save time by ensuring that you’ve given us everything we need, and that your submission is suitable for use.

lease use this checklist when submitting anything to Freemason – be it an article, news from your Lodge (On The Level), Letter to the Editor or an advertisement.
Generally speaking, submissions comprise text and pictures/graphics. The checklist opposite details what is required of each. When you’ve ticked the relevant boxes, email your articles through to freemason@masons.org.au or your advertisements through to freemason@apmgraphics.com.au If you’re not too confident with the written word, just give us the main points and we’ll put it together for you. Please check our Media Kit to make sure you meet the relevant deadlines, otherwise it may get bumped to the next issue – and that isn’t always in the best interests of the submission.

Articles Supplied name, phone and email of person submitting Not about religion or politics Suitable and of interest to our broad readership and the general public The text is your own work OR you have permission from the author Any required credits are included All facts are verified On the Level Supplied name, phone and email of person submitting You have provided name and number of Lodge You have given details of the author including masonic rank and title Include date, nature and location of event Please keep text brief and succinct as there is only limited space in this section All facts are verified Pictures / Graphics All images are either yours or you have permission/license for use All people in the images have given permission for their image to be used Any photos are clear, sharp and high resolution (see our Media Kit) Clear captions are provided for all images (eg. L-R, Front Row, Back Row, etc) Any required credits are included (author, photographer, source, etc)
