Duration: 8 minutes Ingredients: 1 cup butter ½ cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar 1 egg ¾ tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Placeholder 10½ teaspoon almond extract 2 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour Food coloring, colored sugar, candies for decorating – optional

Directions: 1.Cream butter; add sugar. 2.Blend in egg, salt, extracts and flour. Knead dough in hands until soft and pliable. 3.Press dough through cooky press onto ungreased cooky sheets. 4.Decorate as desired. 5.Bake at 400 degrees about 8 minutes. Makes about 6 doz. depending on size.
