Sept. 22, 2023 | Legislative Reporter The 2024 Legislative Session convenes on Jan. 9, 2024, and is scheduled to end on March 8, 2024. Interim committee meetings began this week and will continue through the week of Dec. 11, 2023. View the Senate interim committee schedule and the House interim committee schedule. Additionally, a calendar of the important dates throughout the session can be viewed here. Both the Senate and the House have announced committee assignments for the upcoming session. If you are interested in learning who is chairing or serving on a particular committee, just click on the appropriate link below and go to that committee: Senate committees House committees APA Florida will provide information to our members throughout the session. Beginning on September 29, a Bill Tracking Report and short update will be posted on the Legislative Page of the website each Friday. The Bill Tracking Report provides a link to bill language, identifies the actions taken on the bill by various committees, and identifies related bills. If at any point there is a bill that you would like to add to this tracking report or you have a question related to a bill, simply email the Executive Director, Stefanie Svisco, at ssvisco@floridaplanning.org with the request. Additionally, the weekly Legislative Reporter will be emailed to our members. This publication provides a short summary of individual bills and their amendments, identifies any action the chapter is taking relative to that bill, and provides an updated bill tracking report. At the end of the session, the chapter will prepare and distribute a summary of the major planning related bills passed by the Legislature.
