The Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA Florida) is the statelevel resource for networking and professional development. With nearly 3,000 professional planners, we are one of the largest chapters in the nation. APA Florida provides statewide leadership in the development of sustainable communities by advocating excellence in planning, providing professional development for its members, and working to protect and enhance the natural and built environments.

Florida planners speak out on legislative priorities During September 2022, APA Florida surveyed its members to seek guidance on the state’s legislative policy priorities. Florida planners responded by identifying the following key issues deserving priority focus during the 2023 Legislative Session:
