National Disability Employment Awareness Month

F

or Spectrum Designs, every month is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, an annual awareness campaign that takes place each October. The purpose is to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities—a group that faces an estimated underemployment rate of 80 percent. This year’s theme is Increasing Access and Opportunity. “Spectrum Designs is proud to be a part of this year’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month,” CEO, Patrick Bardsley, said. We work diligently every day to spread the important message that we value all perspectives, including those of individuals with disabilities. This year’s theme increasing access and opportunity is at the very core of our mission—to help individuals with Autism lead full and productive lives through the world of work.” —Submitted by Spectrum Designs
