Elverson Antiques Show Slated For Oct. 28 And 29 Popular Two-Day Show Takes Place At Twin Valley High School

“Seeds Of Knowledge: Early Modern Illustrated Herbals” Interesting Exhibit On Early Printed Herbals To Be Held At The Morgan Library And Museum “Seeds of Knowledge: Early Modern Illustrated Herbals” highlights the collection of 15th to 17thcentury European printed herbals of Dr. Peter Goop (Liechtenstein). Herbals were highly illustrated, critical texts to doctors and lay healthcare providers that included both the folkloric and medicinal uses of plants. The Elverson Antiques Show will return this fall on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28 and 29, at the Twin Valley High School. The school sits high on a hill, located at 4897 N. Twin Valley Road, Elverson, Pa. Proceeds from the antiques show benefit the Lacrosse Club, and members of the club serve as porters and help with the set-up of the show. Within easy driving distance of Philadelphia, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York, Elverson is just off Exit 298 (Morgantown) of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Geographically, it is located in Berks County, with Chester County only a few miles away. The show reflects the rich heritage of the early Pennsylvania settlers of southeastern Pennsylvania; however, over 40 dealers from the MidAtlantic, New England, and the Mid-West bring a balance of antiques from across the country to the show, with an emphasis on quality country antiques. Long-Running Simple Goods Show Set For Nov. 4 Country And Primitives Show Is Held In Berlin, Ohio The Simple Goods Early Country and Primitive Goods Show will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Heritage Community Center on Route 62 in Berlin, Ohio, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. With over 50 wellknown dealers from across the country, every nook and cranny of the building will be full with country antiques.
