Antiques Dealers Association Of Berks County One-Day Show Returns The anticipated 8th Annual Kempton Antiques Show will be held Saturday, Oct. 15. This quality show is presented by the Antiques Dealers Association of Berks County (ADABC) and takes place at the Kempton Community Center, located at 83 Community Center Drive in Kempton, Pa. Kempton is a rural northern Berks County town roughly between Allentown and Hamburg, north of Route 78. The location is ideal for collectors and dealers in the Lehigh Valley and northern New Jersey. The well-lit and newly renovated community center is a great place for a show, and dealers will showcase a full variety of merchandise such as Pennsylvania country furniture; textiles including quilts, hooked rugs, coverlets, and samplers; pottery such as redware, stoneware, and Staffordshire
china; vintage toys of tin, wood, and celluloid; metalware such as pewter, wrought and cast-iron, and tin; along with folk carvings, baskets, illustration art, Native American rugs and jewelry, Asian arts, estate jewelry, and much more.
The range of items is extensive, and this is a dealer-friendly show known for having high quality material. It is among the best one-day shows, with items priced to sell. Great discoveries are found every year. Show hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food

Witman Auctioneers Inc., Manheim, Pa., conducted an auction on Sept. 10, on behalf of Ned and the late Gwen Foltz, at the Reinholds Banquet Hall, along Route 897 in Reinholds, Pa. Ned announced at the beginning of the auction this was the 17th sale Witman has conducted for him and his late wife, and it is likely the final one. An array of country furniture sold along with various antiques. The sale was well attended by both local collectors and dealers. The following are a sample of what sold. Prices include a 10percent buyer’s premium. A nice period red painted Dutch cupboard, ex. Harry Hartman, sold for $3,740. A primitive blue painted canning table sold for $880, and a plain canning cupboard went for $440. An early red painted bucket bench sold for $413, and a tall bookcase grain decorated by Gwen Foltz brought $908.
