Gathering On The Farm Set For May 11 Country And Primitive Show To Take Place In Gettysburg The Gathering on the Farm at Gettysburg is a country and primitive antiques show that will be held Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show takes place at 1042 Bullfrog Road in Fairfield, Pa., about 10 minutes from downtown Gettysburg. Admission is free of charge. The show is a tented rain or shine event, and the fall edition will be Oct. 5. New to the roster of dealers this year is Annelie and John Cawley from Hellertown, Pa. John and Annelie do many quality shows, including Elverson and Lititz. They are known for good country paint, early Christmas, and an eclectic mix of early antiques. The show is held on the farm of Linda and Joe Bowden. The log portion of the house dates to 1740, and the stone, to 1830. In 1930, an addition was added to the stone portion. Antiques Appraisal Event Scheduled For April 27 Zelma’s Emporium To Host Benefit For New Oxford Area Historical Society On Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the New Oxford Area Historical Society (NOAHS) and Zelma’s Emporium will join together to co-host an exciting benefit event, New Oxford’s Antiques Appraisal Faire, at the historic Livingston Shoe Factory, located at 11 Water St. (just off West Golden Lane), New Oxford, Pa. Since May 2020, this historic commercial location has been the home of one of New Oxford’s leading businesses, Zelma’s Emporium. Given the role antiques businesses have played in New Oxford’s commercial history, this newly

envisioned antique appraisal event will build on the town’s reputation and bring together a cadre of trained appraisers. In this way, event attendees will have the chance to learn about the history and value of the treasures they bring and enjoy the day’s festivities at the same time. Attendees may bring up to three items for appraisal. Each item appraisal will be assessed a $15 fee, with proceeds being donated to the New Oxford Area Historical Society.
