Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

We are pleased to present the Archdiocesan Financial Report for the year ending December 31, 2025. We offer this annual report to you as coworkers in the holy vineyard of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our aim remains steadfast: to cultivate a spirit of transparency, accountability, and shared responsibility, so that all may clearly see the fruit born from their labor of love.

Over the last year, your dedication has continued to strengthen our Archdiocese administratively, financially, and spiritually Through the publication of our external financial audit reports, produced by an independent and reputable accounting firm, we reaffirm our commitment to openness and integrity at every level of governance This ongoing effort is not merely procedural; it reflects our belief that the Church must shine with the light of honesty and good stewardship

Through the grace of Christ and the continued prayers and efforts of each of you, our Archdiocese has persevered through challenges and advanced several important initiatives. Our focus remains on sustaining the sacred work of preserving the Orthodox faith and proclaiming the Gospel in every city, town, and village in the geographical area entrusted to us. As we continue to experience growth throughout the Archdiocese, we must continue to find ways to provide opportunities to cultivate this growth. This often means additional financial resources for new programs, or to enhance existing programs and departments to meet the needs of our expanding parishes.

The Charitable Outreach Committee has carried on its mission with compassion and diligence, addressing material needs both near and far With the support of the Board of Trustees, the Antiochian Women, and countless generous donors, the endowment fund for the widows of clergy has begun offering much needed assistance Your kindness has truly become a comfort and blessing to those who have given their lives in service to the Church

The Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch, through its new North American chairman, Dr. Ramzi Khairallah, continues to raise much needed funds to support various projects of the Archdiocese. The Order’s continued growth and support is vital to the funding of our long-term visions and goals. We encourage all our faithful to consider joining this charitable arm of our Archdiocese

Additionally, plans continue to develop for providing support to clergy and their families during times of unexpected hardship, including sudden loss of income We remain committed to enhancing the ongoing education of our clergy and supporting our seminarians as they prepare for a life of service Finally, our Department of Finance is doing its best to aid parishes with advice and help so that, together, we may build transparency at all levels of the archdiocese

In closing, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the Vice Chairman of the Archdiocesan Board of Trustees, Mr. Fawaz El Khoury; our Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Salim Abboud; and our entire Finance Department for their continued dedication. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you throughout our Archdiocese. Your unwavering support, your generosity, and your faithfulness bring the comfort and peace of Jesus Christ to every soul in need.

With thankful hearts and renewed hope, we present the Annual Report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025 As we reflect upon the year that has passed, we recognize once again the abundant mercy of our Lord and the countless blessings He has bestowed upon our Archdiocese This report stands not only as an account of financial stewardship, but as a testament to the faith, sacrifice, and dedication of our clergy and faithful throughout North America.

Guided by the inspired leadership of His Eminence, Metropolitan SABA, our Archdiocese continues to grow in spiritual strength and unity. His fatherly care and steady guidance have encouraged us to remain firmly rooted in Christ while thoughtfully responding to the pastoral realities of our time. We pray that the Lord grants His Eminence many years, strengthened with wisdom, health, and peace as he shepherds our beloved Archdiocese.

We invite you to review this report with prayerful attention Within its pages, you will find a comprehensive reflection of our shared ministry and mission, including:

Spiritual Growth: The continued expansion of liturgical life, educational initiatives, clergy development, and programs that deepen our Orthodox faith across generations

Parish Vitality: Efforts to strengthen parish life through leadership training, stewardship development, and enhanced communication between the Archdiocese and our local communities

Community Outreach: Our ongoing commitment to charitable work, humanitarian aid, and compassionate service to those in need, both locally and internationally.

As we give thanks for the progress made in 2025, we remain mindful of the challenges before us.

Together, we continue to address important areas requiring thoughtful attention and collaboration: Parish Sustainability: Assisting parishes facing financial or demographic pressures and developing longterm strategies for stability and growth.

Strengthening Stewardship: Encouraging a deeper understanding of sacrificial giving as an expression of faith and gratitude

Clergy and Leadership Support: Expanding resources and continuing education to equip our clergy and lay leaders for effective ministry in a rapidly changing world

Evangelization and Outreach: Finding meaningful ways to share the beauty and truth of the Orthodox faith with those seeking Christ

We approach these opportunities and challenges with humility, trusting in God’s providence and seeking His wisdom in all that we undertake.

It is with gratitude to Almighty God that I present a comprehensive overview of the financial position of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025 As stewards of the sacred trust placed in us, we remain mindful of the Lord’s words: “Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2) Through God’s providence and the faithful dedication of our clergy, parishes, and benefactors, our Archdiocese continues to stand on firm financial footing while advancing its sacred mission

The year 2025 reflects both stability and measured growth We have continued to strengthen our financial infrastructure, enhance transparency, and ensure responsible oversight of the resources entrusted to us. Our commitment to sound governance and accountability remains unwavering, recognizing that diligent planning and faithful execution lead to lasting abundance (Proverbs 21:5).

We are grateful to report that our independent external audit process continues in accordance with best practices, maintaining the high standards that have characterized our recent financial history. This ongoing commitment to integrity and transparency reflects our desire to honor God and serve His Church with excellence.

2025 Financial Overview:

External Audit & Accountability: We continued our tradition of independent external audits, reinforcing confidence in our financial controls and reporting standards

Parish Contributions & Giving: Contributions from our parishes and faithful remained strong, reflecting a continued spirit of generosity and commitment to the ministries of the Archdiocese Revenue & Stewardship: Overall unrestricted revenue demonstrated steady performance, supporting both ongoing ministries and strategic initiatives

Expenditures & Operational Support: Expenditures were carefully managed to align with mission priorities, including clergy support, departmental programs, youth ministries, and administrative services.

Financial Position: Through prudent stewardship and responsible oversight, the Archdiocese maintained a balanced financial posture, positioning us well for future growth and mission expansion.

We encourage all faithful to review the detailed financial statements contained within this Annual Report. Transparency remains a cornerstone of our financial philosophy, and your thoughtful engagement is welcomed and appreciated.

Strategic Initiatives for 2026

Looking ahead to 2026, we are prayerfully advancing several important initiatives designed to strengthen long-term sustainability and mission effectiveness:

Enhanced Financial Reporting Systems:

We will continue upgrading internal financial systems to provide improved real-time reporting, streamlined parish support, and stronger internal controls across departments and regions

Parish Financial Education & Best Practices Program:

In 2025, many of you noticed that upon submitting your parish financial worksheets, you received detailed individualized reports highlighting both areas of strength and areas requiring attention. These reports were accompanied by visual graphs presenting a clear and comprehensive picture of each parish’s overall financial position.

This initiative was implemented not as a review exercise alone, but as a teaching and support tool. Our goal is to assist and empower our dedicated parish treasurers and council members who serve with love and sacrifice by providing practical insights that encourage strong stewardship, sound planning, and long-term sustainability We are deeply grateful for the faithful efforts of our parish volunteers, and these reports are intended to support, guide, and thank you in your ministry of financial stewardship

Long-Term Reserve & Endowment Planning:

We will further develop structured reserve policies and explore expanded endowment opportunities to safeguard the financial stability of the Archdiocese for future generations.

Capital Planning & Infrastructure Review:

A comprehensive review of administrative and regional infrastructure will be undertaken to ensure that facilities and operational structures remain efficient, sustainable, and aligned with long-term mission goals.

Investment Oversight & Ethical Stewardship:

We will continue refining investment oversight policies to ensure alignment with Orthodox Christian values while pursuing prudent, diversified growth strategies.

These initiatives are undertaken with humility and trust in God’s continued guidance, recognizing that every financial decision ultimately serves the greater spiritual mission of the Church

I extend heartfelt gratitude to His Eminence, Metropolitan SABA, for his steadfast leadership and unwavering support His vision provides clarity and direction as we steward the material resources that sustain our sacred ministries

I also offer sincere appreciation to the Archdiocese Board of Trustees, our department heads, administrative staff, and financial professionals who labor diligently behind the scenes. Their careful oversight and daily commitment ensure that our operations remain sound and mission-focused.

DEPARTMENT OF CLERGY INSURANCE AND RETIREMENT

The Department of Clergy Insurance and Retirement provides guidance to parishes and the clergy of the archdiocese in the areas of stipends and allowances, life and disability insurance, retirement planning, and the provision of a confidential assistance program The department issues a clergy compensation manual on an annual basis, which summarizes the financial responsibilities of parishes for the clergy.

Under the omophorion of His Eminence Metropolitan SABA, the Department of Clergy Insurance and Retirement consists of Archpriest Michael Ellias (Chair), Archpriest Thomas Zain (Vicar General), Archpriest Joseph Samaan (Protosyngellos), Archimandrite Paul Matar (Hierarchical Assistant), Mr. Salim Abboud (CFO), Ms. Marlene Ayoub (Registrar), and Ms. Mary WinstanleyO’Connor (Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch).

The Department continues to assure that there are adequate resources to meet the Archdiocese’s commitments under the former Retired Clergy Housing Allowance program This program officially closed to new participants as of January 1, 2013, when the new 401(k) defined contribution program took effect. The new 401(k) program is proving to be both popular and successful. Participants may choose to manage their retirement accounts directly through either Merrill Lynch or Transamerica. The Department continues to advocate for an increase in the contribution the Archdiocese makes toward the 401(k) plan in keeping with inflation and the cost of living

The Archdiocese has recently established a Department of Human Resources (DHR) under the leadership of Dr. Anne Thomas. The DHR has withdrawn the Archdiocese’s participation in the Joint Orthodox Health Plan (JOHP) due to its prohibitive expense. That department now provides information to clergy on alternative sources of health insurance coverage For more details inquirers should contact hr@antiochian org

NUMBER RECEIVING BENEFITS

As noted above, the value of the fund increased by $337,663 during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. The corpus of the investments do not generate enough of investment return to cover the anticipated housing payment allowances Receipts from organizations and the Archdiocese have been supplementing the shortfall and ensuring that the housing allowances have been paid to recipients The administration of the funds continues to be Merrill Lynch

THE ORDER OF ST. IGNATIUS OF ANTIOCH

Remembering the words of our Lord Jesus Himself, ”It is more blessed to give than to receive ” (Acts 20:35), our Governing Council is thankful for all members who are committed to giving and making sacrifices for the communal good and continued prosperity of the Antiochian Orthodox Church in North America.

Financials:

In 2025, our financial stability improved, as the Endowment Fund increased from $10,255,013 at the end of 2024 to $11,379,682 by the end of 2025. This Fund’s principal has been growing steadily, increasing by $422,608 in 2025, through direct contributions from Life and Metropolitan level memberships. Most of the growth in the total fund resulted from increases in market value/interest/dividends. A smaller portion of these market gains, dividends and interests was used to cover operating expenses

Of our approximately $1.5 million in total spending for 2025, slightly more than $1.1 million was covered by revolving annual dues from Knight/Dame/Commander ranks. The remaining amount (roughly $400,000) came from growth from the Endowment Fund mentioned in paragraph above.

Our $1 5 million in spending for 2025 can be summarized as follows:

1) 300,000 to Clergy retirement Fund (an increase from $270,000 in previous years)

2) Around $300,000 was in support of youth camping programs, Teen SOYO Leadership Conference, clergy travel and seminarian assistance.

3) A little over $800,000 were given in support of the Archdiocese ministries.

4) While $35,000 went to charities such as Project Mexico and IOCC.

5) Less than $100,000 was spent on administrative operations

In 2026, the Archdiocese’s portion is planned to increase to $1 million

Membership:

Over the past several years, our membership has experienced gradual growth. However, this positive trend was affected by losses during the acute phase of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2022), as well as the ongoing impact of an aging membership base as we enter our 50th year Currently, the total number of active members stands at approximately 3,000

Over the past three years, membership has continued to grow steadily. Challenges to our growth that we have identified include the relative age increase of our members, raising the risk of losing members due to natural causes over time, and the relatively limited level of engagement and communication compared with other similar organizations.

Activities and Achievements:

The mobile app sponsored by The Order and used by participants during PLC meetings has been very helpful. The app has been improved and now includes information about The Order and any Order events during PLCs or Conventions. In the past two years The Order has awarded $1,000 to every PLC in support of the Bible Bowl. In addition, several promotional activities at PLCs have been supported by members of the Governing Council for the benefit of The Order Looking ahead to 2026, we plan to increase our spending at PLC meetings to implement a more systematic and well-planned promotional activity at each PLC, in addition to our continued support of the Bible Bowls.

Many local chapters of The Order have hosted town hall meetings to educate members of our churches about the work of The Order and its importance in supporting our different ministries, while also encouraging them to join Many local chapters also organized Order In Action events in which our members worked hand in hand to host social and charitable events, often building connections between our parishes and their surrounding communities. As this model of activity gained recognition within the Governing Council, it inspired a broader vision for renewing The Order from within. In July 2025, a new Executive Committee was elected during the National Convention in Chicago

Achieving progress usually requires careful planning and execution across many facets and layers of activity. Recognizing our great potential for growth and improvement at many levels, we have prioritized several key tasks and goals.

Following a transitional period, we established a new Communications Committee. The Committee launched an improved email service through Constant Contact, which enables us to engage members more effectively, while also providing valuable feedback, such as the number of clicks on different parts of the email As a direct result of these emails, we have seen a noticeable surge in the timely payment of dues by members clicking the corresponding links. In January of 2026, we launched Facebook and Instagram pages ushering in a revival of The Order’s presence on social media. In the coming weeks, we will establish a dedicated website for The Order, and we will begin producing and publishing short video recordings, and more immersive audiovisual content to enhance our social media platform and member engagement

At this stage, an important objective is to recruit another 100 ambassadors to cover all of our parishes. An Ambassador Recruitment Committee has been established to support this effort and is currently diligently working on this task. With the help and guidance of our Bishops and clergy, we have also appointed Spiritual Advisors, Diocesan Chairs and Vice Chairs to fill vacancies across various regions At the same time, we have been replenishing the membership of our Governing Council These positions are being filled with enthusiastic members who receive a clear explanation of their responsibilities along with the assurance of full support in fulfilling their mission.

Once the infrastructure for communication and leadership is firmly in place and combined with a nurturing environment that fosters renewed activity and commitment, we expect to see a gradual increase in new membership and upgrades.

Challenges and vision:

We have identified two common perceptions that hinder recruitment:

1)The perception that our members are “old”.

2) The belief that The Order is an exclusive club for rich people.

We are working on dispelling these misconceptions with the aim of being more inclusive and welcoming Our next priority is to recruit young talent and leaders to help us attract and connect with the new generation. We have encouraged all our chapters to make every effort to be inclusive of other parish members in our local events and activities. We want the rest of the church community to view us as one supportive family within our parish that others would want to join. At the same time, we are working to strengthen the connection of Antiochian Orthodox Christians with the Archdiocese of North America by helping them better understand the good work of our Archdiocese carried out through its different ministries, and the importance of supporting that mission.

Despite the many challenges ahead and significant work that remains to be done, we view this moment as an opportunity for growth and meaningful impact For the past 50 years, the members of The Order Of Saint Ignatius of Antioch have taken upon themselves the responsibility of supporting our beloved Archdiocese and its ministries in service of the Holy Mission of our Church. Today, more than ever, our faith and determination are unwavering and our efforts to recruit new members continue to intensify. We are deeply inspired by Metropolitan SABA’s dedication and perseverance, and we are grateful for his tremendous support. His leadership and guidance are creating a momentum of renewal that will further strengthen our commitment to our mission

The Antiochian Village has had a challenging yet rewarding 2025/2026 year. Both teams have put a lot of effort into working toward the future financial grown, and to focus on the Ministry of the Village.

Again, this year we will continue to strive to become even better stewards of our financial expenditures, to work with the Village Council, to streamline our cash flow procedures, our policies, our visions, and goals for our future. Although we continue to generate more revenue, the challenges remain to maintain a balance. This is why "on year" re important to our bottom line.

Conference Centre:

Occupancy was 21%

Centre shows a growth in revenues 4 years in a row

With this growth comes a corresponding rise in expenses like utilities. Which rose by 190%, Food cost rose by 24%

In 2025, we had 200 groups (AHOS, Ancient Fath)

Looking forward, our goal will be to retain existing groups, encourage old ones to return by introducing new and different packages

We are committed to enhancing our bookstore by adding liturgical items

We are committed to develop new vision of our Archdiocese by building a larger Church to serve the Camp and the Centre, plans are underway, approval of the design was received from his Eminence

We started renovating and upgrading our bathrooms in the lodging rooms

Upgrading the electrical in ALL meeting rooms

We will continue assisting AHOS students for their research

A new museum exhibit is open now and redesigning the Museum lobby as per His Eminence request

We have printed, framed 34 churches photos and placed in the hallways. We encourage remaining churches to send their pictures for display

We hired a new chef at the kitchen to enhance and bring a new healthy menu

The Antiochian Heritage Preservation and Digitalization project is underway at the Museum

Sewage Treatment Plant UV is completed, along with the water well the water treatment system will be upgraded

This ministry is made possible by the support of our hierarchs and parish priests, Village Council and Board of Trustees, camper parents, alumni, and dedicated staff. The strength of the AV Camp is our staff who strive to transform lives and nurture faith in Jesus Christ through Orthodox Christian community living, worship, education, fellowship, and love

What we accomplished in 2025

Programs: We hosted 14 programs for 1,574 participants, including Winter Family Camp, Winter Camp, Alumni Work Weekend, AV Open, Family Camp, Discipleship Weeks, Summer Camp, Arch Week, Adult Camp, Fort Ligonier Days, St Raphael Pilgrimage, & Homecoming

Guest Groups: We hosted 13 guest groups for ~500 participants, including Special Olympics, Clergy Wives, Autism Camp, Alumni groups, Boy Scouts (2x), & Scrapbookers (2x)

Facilities: Renovated the Gathering Place, creating sensory room and alumni room, renovated the Health Center, demolished Chalet 2, remodeled Arts & Crafts and Cabin 48, replaced flooring in the Lodge, and replaced all wooden bunks with bed-bug-resistant metal bunks

Misc: We welcomed 3 new full-time staff members, grew our AV Camp Endowment, attended training conferences for professional development, passed our ACA (American Camping Association) accreditation visit, and continued our monthly newsletter

Dear Metropolitan Saba, Esteemed Bishops, Reverend Clergy,Esteemed Members of Board of Trustees, Village Council Membersand Archdiocese Faithful:

I am pleased to present an overview of our fiscal performance and operational achievements for the year ending 2025 This year has marked another record-breaking milestone for our organization, generating a total revenue of $1,706,675 39 This figure surpasses the previous off-year record set in fiscal year 2023, which totaled $1,234,774.18. The revenue represents a significant achievement, demonstrating our continued success in attracting groups and offering valuable services.

We welcomed 17 new and 83 returning groups this year, reflecting our success in fostering strong relationships within our community A key development was the appointment of a full-time bookstore manager in the latter half of 2025, which has had a profound impact on our bookstore sales We achieved total bookstore revenue of $421,269.45, reflecting a 60.5% increase from the previous year. Notably, there was a $120,325.56 increase in Archdiocese bookstore sales.

While we celebrate our revenue achievements, we must also address the rising operational expenses we continue to face:

We experienced an additional 9% increase in utility costs on top of the 192% rise we faced in 2024 and food costs increased by an additional 9%, maintaining our food cost percentage at 42%, despite our efforts to raise meal prices.

We have made significant upgrades to the facility this year to enhance our service offerings: Meeting Room Technology-We have added smart TVs to all meeting rooms, upgraded our internet access and speed, and improved the sound system in the Ajar Amphitheater to enhance the quality of keynote presentations.

Restroom and Lodging Improvements- All public restrooms have undergone renovations with new vanities and sinks, while all linens and bedding in guest lodging rooms have been replaced and some public area seating has also been upgraded

Future Projects- Looking ahead to 2026, we are in the process of upgrading our sewage treatment plant facilities, implementing electrical upgrades in all meeting rooms, renovating lodging room bathrooms, and replacing the chairs in the dining room.

In summary, fiscal year 2025 has been a year of remarkable achievement and growth for the conference center. The record-breaking revenue and significant bookstore sales increase reflect our dedication to serving our community. As we move forward, it is crucial to address our operational challenges while continuing to invest in our facilities and services

Christ in in our Midst!

I am honored to serve my second term as your NAB President. I look forward to the next year and half as we continue to minister through the Antiochian Women in our parishes, our communities, our dioceses and the archdiocese along with our extended ministry to sisters and brothers in need in the world I ask for your prayers for the North American Board as we strive to carry out our mission in service to others.

We began the 2025-2026 year with our presentation of a check in the amount of $162,244.04 to Metropolitan SABA for the newly established Widowed Clergy Wives Endowment Fund (NAB Project 2025) That along with $180,000 matching grant received from the Orthodox Vision Foundation brought the total raised to $342,244 04 We are grateful to the Orthodox Vision Foundation for their matching grant contributions in the first two years of fundraising for this important effort. At the end of 2025, the fund had surpassed $1.3 million dollars. I am thankful for all the Antiochian Women throughout the Archdiocese, the Archdiocese Board of Trustees and the Orthodox Vision Foundation along with other donors who have made this fund a reality I know, from our widowed clergy wives, how much this gift means to them and how much they appreciate our remembrances of them

In October, I worked with Faithtree Resources to add several prayers from our Antiochian Women 50 Anniversary Prayer booklet to the newly updated Encounter prayer app. The app features the Antiochian Women in the “Pray with Your Group” section. The section with the Psalms also has a selection from our Antiochian Women Spiritual Aids bookmark called “There’s a Psalm for That ” th

Each year we select a spiritual book for all Antiochian Women to read This year the book was The Art of Myrrh Bearing: Encountering Christ Through Serving Others by Elissa Bjeletich Davis. Many chapters throughout the archdiocese read the book with their book clubs. We were also pleased to host an online visit with the author, attended by many of the faithful.

Each year we sponsor a Humanitarian Shared Act of Mercy, a voluntary program in which many of our parishes participate For the third year, we encouraged our parishes to help to supply Casa Cuna, the infant orphanage at Project Mexico with necessities for caring for infants such as diapers, wipes, clothing, blankets, and other baby supplies along with financial assistance.

In November and December, checks for our Married Seminarians and Widowed Clergy Wives were sent out. I have received many thank you notes from both seminarian families and widowed clergy wives for the gifts. In 2025, the income from the Widowed Clergy Wives Endowment fund was distributed; $16,042 00 to 52 women

This year, we will complete our third year of fundraising for the Widowed Clergy Wives Endowment Fund (NAB Project 2026). We recently received a $150,000 Challenge grant from the Orthodox Vision Foundation (OVF) and are encouraging our parishes to meet this year’s challenge.We have been blessed with contributions from OVF for the past three years. As we are completing this three-year project, we look forward to NAB Project 2027 and for what His Eminence will ask of us at our meeting in July 2026

We also look forward to selecting a new Humanitarian Shared Act of Mercy to encourage our parishes to increase their outreach and charitable support. We will also continue to encourage women in their spiritual lives with a new book selection in summer 2026.

We have active followers on our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram where we offer encouragement to women in their daily lives We are always looking to increase our following and reach new Antiochian Women, especially those who are new to the faith.

Our goal to encourage the participation of young women in their Antiochian Women organizations at the parish level, the diocesan level, and the national level is primary in our minds and hearts I am encouraged, as I visit parishes, by the number of young women who are active and involved in their local Antiochian Women organizations I am also encouraged to see some of them becoming active at the diocesan level with three of our seven diocesan presidents serving their first 2-year terms and three others serving their second 2-year terms for the first time. We also have many new faces on our diocesan boards.

The Antiochian Women is a wonderful opportunity for women to participate in the life of their parishes and as a sisterhood, throughout the archdiocese It is a perfect place for those who have a heart to serve their communities, their churches, and the world.

CHARITABLE OUTREACH COMMITTEE

Antiochian Charities

The Antiochian Charities currently encompasses five programs:

1. Charitable Outreach Committee:

Since the establishment of the Charitable Outreach Committee in 2019, we have provided $70,000 in COVID relief and $476,000 in grant funding to churches/organizations to support charitable outreach. Through these grants existing initiatives were sustained or expanded, and new charitable activities initiated. The common theme is that there is a desperate need to address food, clothing, and housing insecurity in North America

Thanks to the support and generosity of the parishioners in our Archdiocese, the Committee has been able to provide a mechanism for parishes to care for their own members and to help feed and clothe their surrounding communities. These efforts assist underfunded community organizations and are effective in the lives of thousands of people each year. Many of our parishes have applied for funding each year to expand their charitable services to meet the ongoing and expanding needs in their communities

Every year our Food for Hungry People program encourages the participation of entire families, adults, and children alike through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving during Great Lent We are witnessing and even experiencing devasting hunger at home and around the world, and our Church families are committed to alleviating this unnecessary and painful situation For 51 years we have raised funds to help feed our hungry brothers and sisters.

Through your generosity and prayers, we have assisted the hungry and poor in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe.

·Strengthened struggling parishes and neighborhoods with practical help

·Bolstered local food banks with sustained support and compassion

3. Children’s Relief Fund

The CRF is a vital component of our Antiochian Charities programs We do not have a current count of 2025 sponsors because most sponsors send in their contribution near the end of the calendar year In 2024 we had sponsors for 123 children in Palestine and 169 children in Lebanon We ask that sponsors make a commitment until their child reaches the age of 18.

Sponsors contribute $400 annually and are matched with a child or children from either Lebanon or Palestine Because we can no longer provide the money directly to the child in the form of cash we are currently exploring alternative ways to support the children A member of our Committee is currently in Palestine meeting with a charitable organization and heads of the Orthodox schools to help us determine how to support the children. We hope to be able to send the 2025 funds prior to the end of the year. For Lebanon we are exploring continuing the school tuition program to assist children who want to stay in school and cannot afford the tuition. Sponsors receive a picture and a bio of their children We are putting together a mechanism for the sponsors to communicate with the children

CRF also accepts general fund donations to our program, which we use for children whose sponsorships have lapsed.

DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH & YOUNG ADULT MINISTRIES

2025 Department Report

The Department of Youth & Young Adult Ministries oversees the four youth-related ministries of the Archdiocese: Camping, Christian Education, Teens, and Young Adults

Vision: For all young people of the Antiochian Archdiocese to grow and mature into the measure of the fullness of Christ within parish communities of loving, co-striving clergy, parents, mentors, and peers. (Ephesians 4:13)

Mission: To offer a holistic, Christ-centered ministry for our youth and young adults as well as resources and training for our clergy and laity to build up our parishes into communities of co-striving love - according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Eph. 4:16)

This department meets at least twice monthly via zoom to discuss common projects and to ensure that the ministries are working together where possible We had an all-staff retreat in conjunction with the Board of Trustees meeting in May, where we created the next steps in our strategic plan after meeting with His Eminence Metropolitan SABA. The leaders of our ministries work very well together and collaborate effectively. CAMPING MINISTRY

Our camping programs in the Archdiocese have had another record attendance with 4,230 individuals attending one of our 11 camp programs. The Archdiocese Camping Ministry provides support to each of these programs to ensure that each program maintains the highest standards, best practices and in compliance with the American or Canadian Camp Association guidelines Some highlights of our work this past year include:

Served on the planning committee for the Annual Orthodox Youth & Camp Worker Conference and the Orthodox Youth Directors of North America committee.

Sponsored training for each Camp Director to attend the Youth & Camp Worker Conference as well as the Tri-State ACA Camp Conference

Oversee the centralized online registration database for all our camp programs, including setup, reporting, technical support and training when necessary, and began the transition to a new software platform in the fall of 2025 which will be used for the first time in the summer of 2026. Distribute of the Financial Assistance from The Order of St. Ignatius.

Work with the Christian Education Ministry to provide a Christian Ed curriculum for each camp which follows the annual festivals’ theme

Camp St Joseph of Damascus held its first season of summer camp in Lenox, Massachusetts with 76 campers and 23 staff members.

Camp Three Holy Youths in the San Francisco bay area received its accreditation from the American Camp Association for the first time.

Camp St. Nicholas held its inaugural season of its new program for graduating High School seniors known as Bridge Week with 14 attendees

Our Vision for the next two years:

Camp programs are very impactful for all participants – campers, staff, volunteers and even parents –because it is an opportunity to retreat away from the world and leave behind the modern conveniences of electronics, social pressures. Participants come together and live in Christian community where they are able to grow in their faith and focus on Christ Our camp programs are growing to minister to more and more young people, and to all age groups including adults, families, and young adults We hope to reach more and more people, both children and adults, through expansion of our current programs beyond just summer camp programs. The year round programs that are offered at the Antiochian Village can be replicated throughout the Archdiocese.

Our Goals for the next two years:

1.Expand each program: We will look to expand the current offering of each camp. Could we add an additional session? Could we extend the session from one-week to two-weeks? Could we add a Family Camp or Winter Camp? What are the needs of the population in that area?

2 Provide Support & Resources: Continue to provide resources and support to our camp programs with training, program development and more to assist in the planning and implementation of each camp.

3.Work with His Eminence to develop a Strategic Plan: Looking ahead to the next 5-10 years, how does the Archdiocese hope to grow our programs? Where are the areas where we might look at purchasing a property? Should we have more smaller one-week programs, or more larger full summer programs? What is the liability of smaller one-week programs, compared to year-round programs and staff?

CAMPING MINISTRY – 2025 CAMP STAFF

The majority of our staff members are young adults, often in college, who dedicate a portion or their whole summer to serve in the camp ministry.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

The Christian Education Ministry exists to serve the Sunday Church Schools of the Archdiocese by strengthening catechesis and supporting the whole parish community in the formation of our children in Christ. In this work, the Ministry:

1 educates and trains teachers and directors,

2 attends to curriculum needs, and

3.assists and supports parents as they nurture their children in the Orthodox faith.

This ministry is possible through the faithful service of our Diocesan Coordinators and Associates, who offer their time as volunteers to assist parishes, visit communities, and provide training workshops for church school staff

In 2025, a dedicated team of writers produced a new Sunday Church School curriculum based on the Book of Exodus. Lessons span Kindergarten through Adult, supporting both age-level instruction and intergenerational learning. In addition, our complete preschool curriculum (released in 2023) continues to be warmly received, helping our youngest students learn Orthodox Christian fundamentals through interactive, engaging lessons

The Ministry also expanded parish resources beyond the Sunday classroom. In April 2025, we released a Vacation Church School program, Genesis Road Trip. Parishes that implemented the program reported strong participation and shared that children especially enjoyed the music, games, and crafts. In December 2025, registration opened for The Art of Narration, a self-guided online course designed to help Sunday Church School teachers and parents bring lessons to life through the timeless Orthodox Christian tradition of storytelling Throughout the year, new educational resources for families were created and shared regularly through antiochian.org and the Christian Education Ministry’s social channels.

Our community of Orthodox Christian educators also gathered for training and encouragement in multiple settings: in-person workshops hosted by parishes in several dioceses, summer Parish Life Conferences, and the Archdiocese Convention In addition, the Ministry offered webinars to support and equip church school educators across the Archdiocese.

Looking ahead, we plan to continue producing new curriculum annually, develop our next Vacation Church School program in 2027, and create additional training opportunities for our Diocesan Christian Education Coordinators to present at regional workshops. Within the next three years, we anticipate completing an eight-year curriculum cycle that will equip our students with a strong foundation in Holy Scripture and the Orthodox Christian faith This ongoing cycle of workshops, webinars, and conferences will also continue, God willing, to strengthen and encourage those who serve in parish education.

TEEN MINISTRIES

Mission and Vision:

Help unite young people to Christ and His Church by:

Promoting opportunities for young people to encounter Christ and realize their own identity in Him.

Embodying the love of Christ and training those who work with youth on how to provide an appropriate space for relationship building and welcoming difficult questions

Encouraging and supporting parishes and parish priests as they continuously work to engage young people in the fullness of life in the Church, including liturgical services and service to the greater community.

2025 Summary

In addition to maintaining and improving existing programs and events, some highlights include: Spring and Summer:

1.TRUST (Teens Responsibly Undertaking Service Together) initiative distributed its second year of TRUST grants to parishes! We had ten applications, and the Teen TRUST Board decided to divide the grant money among all of the applicants - meaning every parish that applied received some funding!

2 Leadership Training was held at the Archdiocese Convention in Chicago for the new board of 2025-2026 Diocese Teen Officers We were blessed to have some time with our Father in Christ, Met. SABA. We had daily spiritual reflections and Ask Abouna sessions, and also enjoyed serving at Feed My Starving Children and even had time for an outing to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game!

3.Archdiocese Bible Bowl and Oratorical Competitions also took place at the convention in Chicago.

4.Teen SOYO sponsored the 44th annual Special Olympics Sports Camp at Antiochian Village.

Fall and Winter:

1.We started our school year with the new NAC Board. They selected officers for their board, set goals for the year, and began strategizing how to reach and unite teens across the Archdiocese.

2.In October, we hosted our first quarterly Youth Worker Zoom Workshop. More than 60 youth workers joined the workshop and were able to connect with other youth workers. We also shared a discussion guide containing seven lessons on the Royal Priesthood Each lesson uses the vesting prayers of an Orthodox priest as a structure, adapting each prayer or item of vestment into a relatable theme for laypeople - especially young people trying to live a Christ-centered life.

3.2026 TRUST applications were posted with double the grant money available. In addition to providing the applications for funding from NAC SOYO, we also provided an application for teens to use within their local parish in hopes that their parish council might support them in their service efforts

Monthly:

We hold monthly meetings with our Diocese SOYO Advisors and NAC Board teen officers, and have bi-weekly meetings with our Youth and Young Adult Ministry Department.

Looking ahead:

Following the vision and direction for our work from His Eminence, as we strive to maintain existing ministries, we are also trying to repackage, re-expose and re-engage our Archdiocese in the teen ministries we offer. Many people do not know about the programs and opportunities available to teens in the Archdiocese or about the supportive materials offered by our team.

As always, manpower is an obstacle With our geographically expansive Archdiocese, to even begin to adequately provide assistance, training, or resources to the dozens of churches in each Diocese, we need more people working full-time in this ministry. The growth of this Archdiocese is both beautiful and impressive, but the needs of the hundreds of parishes filled with teens cannot be met by two people - with only one working full-time. Dedicated staff in each Diocese would allow for closer contact and connection These supportive relationships would be a great help to everyone!

In the meantime, we are working with our Director of Training and Development to discern the best way to engage with and support parish youth workers the best we can. We will continue with our quarterly workshops and look forward to hosting the conference for Antiochian Youth and Camp Workers in October of 2026 at Antiochian Village.

God willing, within the next two to five years, we can have more committed lay people and clergy involved and trained in teen ministry best practices working together across North America

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY

The mission of the Young Adult Ministry is to aid in the spiritual growth of the young adults within the Archdiocese, bringing them to a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We strive to foster an active Orthodox Faith in Christ through:

1 Worship through the full liturgical-cycle of the Church including attending weekday services together, gathering at a local parish for its Feast Day, and the combined services at diocese and Archdiocese gatherings.

2.Spiritual Renewal and Education through retreats, conferences, speaker series, pilgrimages, and bible studies aimed at the needs of our young adults.

3 Service through short-term mission trips and volunteer activities on a local level

4 Fellowship through social outings, conferences, and gatherings

In 2025, Fr. Mark Sultani was appointed in Summer 2025 as the Spiritual Advisor for the Young Adult Ministry to further the mission and goals of the ministry.The Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministry hosted a YAM Reimagining event at the National Convention in Chicago for strategic planning Young Adult Ministry Toolkits for starting boards and leadership structures for the dioceses, as well as parishes, were developed in consultation with Nicola Khoury, a young adult leader in the Diocese of Ottawa. These toolkits also include best practices for YAM events, meetings, and retreats.

Spiritual Advisors for each diocese have been appointed and met as a group through zoom to solidify the goals for Young Adult Ministries

2026 Goals:

A YAM Board will be set up and active in each diocese.

A National YAM Board consisting of representatives from diocesan boards

YAM officers and spiritual advisors will attend the Youth and Young Adult Summit at the Antiochian Village in October 2026

A YAM national conference is being planned for November 2026. This national conference will be placed.

Antiochian Orthodox Ecclesiastical Online Music School

The Department of Sacred Music prioritized development of a full online school to provide comprehensive education for church musicians within our Archdiocese and beyond The mission of the online school states “the Antiochian Orthodox Ecclesiastical Online Music School is committed to providing excellence in learning experiences, resources and support for Music Ministry programs and leaders, while preserving the musical traditions of the Archdiocese.” This being our second full year of operation, Fall of 2025 we registered over 180 students in 18 separate classes and continued into the Spring of 2026 with 148 students in 17 classes. Our 13 faculty members meet with their classes weekly, teaching lessons and allowing their students to practice live on a web-based platform, just as they would in person

Summer Sacred Music Institute 2025

Respecting the Past – Embracing Our Future with Joy ~ Celebrating the 40th Anniversary Sacred Music Institute

This year we celebrated 40 years of Sacred Music Institutes Our focus was remembering our forefathers' ground-breaking work and exploring new music of present times While continuing the structure of the Online School by providing learning tracks, this allows participants to select classes at a level that met their musical interests and ability. We still maintained the engaging general sessions for which our Sacred Music Institute is known. We had 160 participants filling the Antiochian Village Conference & Retreat Center.

Youth Music Ministry

The mission of the Youth Music Ministry is to bring together young Orthodox Christians with a love for music and a desire to serve their Church, to work toward the common goal of understanding and living the theology of Orthodox hymnography to the Glory of God. They study Choral Music, Byzantine Chant, Proper Vocal Production and Technique; they learn challenging new music to be performed with their peers, and they participate in every Divine Service in conjunction with the Summer SMI These students, aged 14-18, are recommended by their Clergy for musical participation and commitment in their churches and submit a vocal audition to be accepted

Winter Sacred Music Institute 2025

The Institute was held last February at the beautiful St. Michael Orthodox Cathedral in Van Nuys, California with 65 participants in attendance The theme of the conference was “The Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord: The Culmination of the Nativity Season”, presenting a large variety of hymns in both Byzantine and choral traditions Our traditional classes were offered, as well as a session devoted to training children in our parishes. A highlight for all the participants, the host parish and the community at large featured the Antiochian Archdiocese Choir Concert following Great Vespers. The concert was professionally recorded, and excerpts can be found on the Faithtree Encounter app under “Hymns to the Mother of God” In February 2026 we were hosted by St George Phoenix, AZ and in February 2027 we will be hosted by St James, Modesto California

Music Library and Website

The improvements to the SM Online Library have been very successful since last year’s update. Many thanks to the Departments of Communications, Online Ministry, and our Sacred Music team. We are proud to announce that we now have approximately 3833 individual hymns written in both Western and Byzantine notation The team of Fr John El-Massih, Christopher Holwey, and Chadi Karam are continually revising, updating and setting hymns for all of our Divine services

Social Media

We currently utilize social media, available on the Archdiocese website, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram We are boosting our presence with more complex videos and music to help expand our presence, to share our music with the world

New Music Committee

Throughout the year Orthodox Composers submit their choral works to the New Music Committee, who review selections, make suggestions and send their critiques to the composer for changes. The committee members include Michael Farrow, Christopher Holwey, Charles Marge, Dr Zhanna Lehman and me Byzantine arrangers submit their music to Christopher Holwey and ultimately, Fr John El-Massih for final approval

Antiochian Archdiocese Choir of North America

The Antiochian Archdiocese Choir brings together dedicated, advanced, proficient singers of Byzantine and Western choral traditions who are auditioned and well-rehearsed in advance, to reflect the heavenly beauty of ecclesiastical music of the Orthodox Church Auditions continue to be available for those who wish to be a part of thisministry of the Department We now have 216 members from all over the United States and Canada. It is our anticipation to accept the prestigious invitation to sing in Carnegie Hall in New York City in Spring 2027. We also held a Sacred Music Concert in conjunction with the Oratorical Festival at the Archdiocese Convention in Chicago, Illinois.

Your Eminence Metropolitan Saba, Venerable Hierarchs, Reverend Clergy, Esteemed Trustees, Fellow Department Leaders, Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

In the past year, the Department of Liturgics continues to receive many requests for special services in addition to our regular work. This year, we have expanded our team to include Father John Valadez and Deacon Ephraim Awad to help with typesetting of books and review of rubrics. For the first time, we have been given a small budget to ask people outside of the department for help with certain specific projects to expedite production as we are all volunteers doing this in addition to our regular parish and archdiocesan responsibilities We are grateful to His Eminence and the Department of Finance for realizing the importance of our work being done in a timelier fashion

At the direction of His Eminence, Liturgics is reviewing the Liturgikon of His Beatitude Patriarch John X to ensure its rubrics become the standard for the Archdiocese. We hope, by the end of this year, to publish a new liturgikon based on his book approved by the Holy Synod of Antioch. The department is also working hard on the fourth edition of The Services of Great and Holy Week and Pascha This book will correct errors and inconsistencies, and use the stronger translation of hymnography from The Holy Transfiguration Monastery of Brookline, Mass This will form the basis of new music. Work also continues work on a new edition of The Divine and Holy Gospel Book. Liturgics hopes to publish the Holy Week and Pascha book in time for Holy Week 2027 and the Gospel book by the end of 2027.

The department is also working to finish the Paraklesis to St Raphael of Brooklyn and the rest of the texts for the service of the Sunday of Antiochian Saints Metropolitan Saba has blessed the combination of the Antiochian Saints and local North American saints for the second Sunday after Pentecost and we will provide the appropriate texts and music for that service this year. Liturgics constantly produces the Online Liturgical Guide that contains the divine services for weekends, great feasts, patron saints of our parishes, Great Lent, Holy Week, daily vespers every Wednesday night, and more The offerings continue to grow, especially in Arabic as the Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Hamatoura, Lebanon freely shares with us its refined translations Liturgics is grateful to Deacon Ephraim and Dr Sam Cohlmia for their review of our productions; to Fr. Raphael Daly and Fr. Elian Alhakeem for their typesetting efforts; to Fr. Elie and Kh. Rouba Estephan, Kh. Ramia Issa and Mr. Chadi Karam for their hard work with Arabic texts; to Fr. DEPARTMENT OF INTER-ORTHODOX AND INTERFAITH RELATIONS

Areas of Involvement:

The mission of our department is to interact with and attend various meetings, dialogues and conferences with other Orthodox Christian, non-Orthodox and non-Christian bodies. Fr. Thomas Zain, Chairman, and Fr. David Barr, Vice Chairman, make up the department. Fr. Thomas concentrates on Inter-Orthodox relations and Middle Eastern affairs and Fr. David concentrates on ecumenical relations with other Christian Churches

Inter-Orthodox and Middle Eastern Affairs (Fr. Thomas):

We participate in CMEP (Christians for Middle East Peace), CAMECT (Christian Arab and Middle Eastern Churches Together), and others. We also regularly participate (via zoom) in conference calls with the Hudson Institute and other governmental agencies when they are discussing topics pertaining to Christianity and especially Christianity in the Middle East I traveled to Washington D C for the IDC (In Defense of Christians) annual advocacy day last September which focused on Christianity in Syria.

Regarding Inter-Orthodox Relations, over the past year I continue to represent Metropolitan on the Executive Committee of the Assembly of Bishops I also serve on the Secretariat for the Assembly of Bishops and participate in monthly zoom meetings I also attended the general assembly in Denver with His Eminence this past November. We work hard in the department to maintain good relations with the various Orthodox jurisdictions and collaborate whenever possible to on various topics that concern all jurisdictions to avoid duplication.

Christian Churches Together (CCT)

Fr. David Barr represents the Department to CCT.

Christian Churches Together (CCT) is the sole ecumenical body in which the Antiochian Archdiocese currently participates (relations with the National Council of Churches of Christ [NCCC] were terminated in 2005).

CCT is comprised of member communions of Churches from five major families of Christian Churches: Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Historical Protestant, Historical African-American, and Evangelicals and Pentecostals. Representatives from these churches meet together to form a united witness, where possible, to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

CCT offers the Orthodox the ability to interact with other Christian bodies in a non-threatening atmosphere, giving us the opportunity to know each other better and come to common understandings It offers the Archdiocese the ability to contact other Churches with similar needs and views on shared concerns It also keeps us apprised of what is happening in other Churches

The Antiochian Archdiocese has representation in both the general forum and Steering Committee of CCT.

CCT has an annual convocation/forum for 3-4 days, held in October in various parts of the US each year The average cost for one participant in this convocation is $1,800-2,000 (airfare, hotel, conference fees)

There are two Steering Committee meetings per year The average cost for one participant in these meetings is less, probably somewhere around $800 (airfare, hotel, etc.) per meeting.

Annual Dues for CCT: $2,000

Ecumenical Dialogues

Orthodox/Roman Catholic Dialogue: This is typically run by the Ecumenical Relations Committee of the Assembly of Bishops

Ecumenical Relations Committee of the Assembly of Bishops:There has been interest within the Greek Archdiocese to get this committee back up and running. We have been working with this committee to establish a new ecumenical guideline manual for all jurisdictions in the USA.

Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches (WCC): We have participated in the North American dialogues in the past, but it seems as if we have not been a part over the past several years There is interest among many of the Roman Catholic that we reengage in this World Council of Churches: We are represented there through our patriarchate and not directly from our Archdiocese.

Christian/Islamic Dialogue in the National Council of Churches of Christ (NCCC): At times in the past, Fr Theodore Pulcini has represented us in the Christian/Islamic dialogue of the NCCC

Budgetary Needs for FYs 2026 and 2027

2026: Total of approximately $8,000 (includes dues to CCT) at current levels of involvement. 2027: Total of approximately $8,500 (includes dues to CCT) at current levels of involvement.

If we get involved with the Assembly of Bishops in the Ecumenical Committee, which could include us in the Roman Catholic Dialogue, we suggest an additional $2,500 per year for travel and participation

DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS AND CREDENTIALS

Purpose and Significance of the Statistical Department

The primary role of this department is to accurately record the size of our parishes for statistical purposes. These statistics are crucial, especially in the context of the General Assembly at the biennial Archdiocese Convention or other special conventions. Fr. Paul Matar and I were appointed to this role in 2017, and we have been diligently working ever since.

In a convention year (or for a special convention), our tasks include preparing the ballots for the Board of Trustee elections and other matters that require a vote In an effort to streamline the voting process, we are considering implementing electronic voting in the future. This modern approach will save time and effort, allowing us to obtain instant results.

Simultaneously, we are compiling statistics based on our most recent census. These figures are essential for determining the appropriate number of ballots to allocate to each parish, ensuring fair representation This department typically incurs minimal expenses, primarily limited to mailing the ballots to the convention host city Fortunately, the cost for postage and mailing has been generously covered by the Archdiocese office in Englewood, as all mailings are processed from there.

Importance of Statistics

The statistical data we gather and analyze serves multiple critical purposes:

1 Accurate Representation: By knowing the size of each parish, we can ensure fair and proportional representation at the General Assembly and other conventions

DEPARTMENT OF MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM

Your Eminence Metropolitan SABA,

Master bless. In 2025 the Department of Missions and Evangelism continued its work in helping to grow the Archdiocese through establishing new missions and chapels and identifying places where there is interest or a need to establish new mission parishes. In a report to the Metropolitan in December 2025, we listed 12 new missions established in 2024-2025, along with 21 potential new missions that are in the process of being formed On December 31, 2025, V Rev John Finley, Chairman, was granted retirement from his assignment to the Department of Missions and Evangelism by Metropolitan SABA. In January 2026 Fr. James Purdie was appointed as the new Chairman of the Department. Since that time he has been onboarding in this new position.

For the remainder of 2026 Fr. James and Vice Chair Fr. Gabriel Karam will continue to visit and coordinate with existing missions and chapels to minister and gain a clear idea as to how each is progressing The Department will also be firming up definitions and procedures for guiding a community to become a mission and then ultimately being blessed as a full parish. A new Department website and social media platforms are also being addressed. Additionally, the Department is beginning to develop its focus on evangelism. This will likely entail bringing into the Department another member in some capacity.

Lastly, 2026 and 2027 will consist of implementing a new vision for the Department of Missions and Evangelism. This includes developing media content, missions and evangelism conferences, as well as a missionary training program for work in our mission communities.

The WORD is a newsprint publication of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. It has a long and wonderful history beginning in 1905. It boasts articles and reflections by St. Raphael, Metropolitan ANTONY, Metropolitan PHILIP, Metropolitan SABA, and many prominent authors Archives of the magazine are housed at the Antiochian Village Library and online at www antiochian org

We currently produce 5 issues of the magazine each year. The Archdiocese sends the magazine out to 25,000 homes of our Archdiocese as well as to Churches, seminaries, libraries, and subscribers throughout the world. It is printed on quality paper in color. The magazine is also available on-line at the Archdiocese’s Web site Antiochian org It has been many years since we last made an Archdiocese wide campaign to identify parish members to place on the mailing list I hope that this can happen soon. It is a herculean task.

We are trying to make the magazine more focused on building up the spirituality of the faithful of the Archdiocese. We also have enlarged the print in response to feedback from the readership. This of course allows us to print less materials. Priority is given to articles of spiritual and educational significance and to departments and organizations of the Archdiocese

Our layout artist Donna Albert of Pittsburgh retired after almost 50 years of service this year as did our Assistant Editor Dr. Chris Humphrey who served us since 2008. We owe them both much gratitude. Joining our team this year are Dn. Ephraim Awad and John Abud as layout artist and assistant editor respectively. These men haven shown themselves to be valuable team members and are serving us well

This magazine does not remunerate anyone for articles, artwork, or photographs. All of this work is offered as gifts to the archdiocese. Bishop John has served as editor since 1997.

Explosive growth in most parishes, which requires either expanded buildings, new Western Rite missions, or both

Dissension by one priest who undermines the process implemented by His Eminence

In five years, by God’s grace and the support of the Archdiocese, the Vicariate sees itself:

Having a deacon in every parish.

Growing the size of every parish so that more than half can be assigned a full-time priest.

Growing intentionally (i.e., not by assimilation) the number of Western Rite parishes from the current 21 to 30

With an auxiliary Bishop assigned exclusively to the Vicariate

This report covers the activities performed by the Department of Internet Ministry during the last calendar year, 2025 and outlines the future vision of the department and its activities

Mission Statement and Focus

The Department of Internet Ministry serves the online communication needs of the Antiochian Archdiocese. Our mission is to present the news of the Archdiocese’s Hierarchs, its departments and organizations, serve the liturgical needs of its parishioners, and inform the seekers of knowledge about Orthodoxy

Our work at the Department of Internet Ministry falls into several different categories: administrative, technical, design, and editorial. Ongoing work includes the development of website content, other departments’ special projects, and new features and functionality in support of the Archdiocese headquarters, as well as our Dioceses, departments and organizations.

The Current State of the Department

During 2025, the department’s efforts have been concentrated on maintaining and improving the www.antiochian.org website, social media presence, and processing most of the Archdiocese’s online payment transactions. In 2025, we also supported several of His Eminence’s initiatives including: the Joy magazine, the publications, books and video interviews that His Eminence put out in 2025, the Antiochian Orthodox Ecclesiastical Online Music School (2 sessions per year), the Medical Professionals Fellowship, and Scholarships for Antiochian Students In 2025, we also did a major upgrade to our website technology stack to bring it up to the current standards for improved cyber security, performance and scalability. Our current paid staff consists of 22.5hrs per week for website editing and content authoring and a monthly stipend for a graphic designer. We also have several volunteers that assist in cyber-security, cloud infrastructure, graphic design and application development needs of the department The rest of our budget is spent on technology infrastructure costs and outsourced software development projects when needed We also collaborate closely and on a weekly basis with the Archdiocesan Communications Department on various aspects of social media, newsletters and charitable outreach campaigns lead by the Communications Department. Over the last three years we have continued to maintain the technical infrastructure and website for the Youth Task Force. Besides those two newly formed departments, we also supported other departments in various aspects:

Online Forms: we continue the effort of consolidating and replacing several of the online information intake forms including online payment processing forms. This is a big task that will span several years to complete and will enhance our information and data collection activities as well as ensure its safety and privacy Last year several online forms were created and updated including: Medical Professionals Fellowship, Eastern Diocese Gathering, Online Music School Registration, Joy Magazine Subscriptions, Charity forms, etc In 2025, we worked closely with the newly formed IT Task Force to define the requirements of the new system that will house the Archdiocese data and will also serve as the intake for data forms across all departments. Sacred Music: we released, with the help of the Communications and Sacred Music departments, a new and improved online music directory and we continue to work with them on the structure of their classrooms and registration processes making incremental improvements with each session

Besides the above new activities, we continue to support the following organizations and departments: Liturgics Department in providing an online channel to their content and service texts House of Studies, Conventions and Conference Planning, and Antiochian Women of North America departments with their year-round event notices and registrations all the Diocesan website presence activities in coordination with their content creators

The Proposed Future Vision

Given the growing needs of the Archdiocese, especially in the areas of information technology systems, business process change management, marketing, and communications, the department’s future will be dependent on the re-organization efforts surrounding these organization functions This effort started a few years ago with the formation of the Communications Department, and is progressing in 2026 with the formation of the new IT Department As such, this department’s functions will be subsumed within these two departments by the end of 2026. In parallel to this re-organization effort, the department continues to function with regard to the day-to-day activities related to managing the Antiochian.org website and all the components that go on the website, including online forms, and managing the cloud infrastructure

Christ is in our midst! By God’s grace and with your help, the Department’s impact steadily grows. In the past year, Communications has:

Boosted video outreach on all the Archdiocese’s digital platforms, including “reels” of Metropolitan Saba’s two pilgrimages to Lebanon and Bishop Anthony’s explanations of the Sundays of Great Lent. A new video interview with His Eminence is in production. Launched TheOrder.Antiochian.org, the organization’s new “in house” website that curates and publishes their steady stream of content, creating a financial savings for The Order of St Ignatius of Antioch Communications also works consistently with The Order’s social media team and helped to launch their new Facebook and Instagram pages Preparing to launch a new “in house” website for the Dept. of Missions and Evangelism, providing the same benefits and savings for this department as done for The Order. Reported that His Eminence’s weekly teachings received hundreds of thousands of views and viewers, plus thousands of shares and reactions, and dozens of positive and constructive comments, in a two-month survey of social media data As you can imagine, we get the most reaction from his teachings on important and controversial – but necessary – subjects

Video content continues to drive higher interaction with the Archdiocese’s worldwide audience. Since October 2021, our Facebook page has grown by 33% to 24,000 followers. A large part of that increase is credited to the seminarian pilgrimage last summer Our Instagram page now has 10,500 followers, a nearly tenfold increase in 4 5 years

Communications wants to continue growing the Archdiocese’s mark in North America and the Orthodox world by producing more video content to achieve the largest audience response and interaction, more than photography and text, although these media are still important. This may require additional funding for Communications to purchase software to record and edit videos remotely, as well as compensate the department’s part-time staff as it reaches weekly hourly limits

Communications hopes to soon relaunch a video series titled “How Our Archdiocese Serves Us.” It would introduce clergy and laity to their brothers and sisters in Christ who provide important resources for their lives in the Church. The video interviews (approximately three minutes each) will aim to provide more impactful introductions At the request of His Eminence and Mr Salim Abboud, the videos will quickly mention how much money each department receives from the Archdiocese’s budget, so viewers will know their contributions are well spent Interviews have been recorded with The Order, Youth Ministry, and Camping.

The Department of Communications foresees no obstacles in achieving future goals and maintaining and enhancing the quality of materials that constantly flow from the Archdiocese’s platforms It will continue to implement His Eminence’s vision and strategy for Communications and connectivity with the clergy and laity

This department expresses deep gratitude to the clergy and faithful of our parishes, especially when it comes to coverage of Metropolitan Saba’s archpastoral visits. Within a day or two, the pastors and their photographers and journalists submit high quality photos and written reports that match the publication style of the department Communications also has deep gratitude for Their Graces the auxiliary bishops and their liaisons that provide content for our online platforms Our audiences love seeing our hierarchs and our vibrant communities in action.

Elias (Elio) Nicolas for their high-level productions of videos and graphics that have generated a great response; Mrs Ginny Nieuwsma for maintaining Antiochian org and cultivating content from the departments, organizations, ministries and parishes; Dn Christian Manasseh from Internet Ministry for his partnership and dedication; and a host of people who always answer my calls for assistance. DEPARTMENT OF HOMESCHOOLING

The past year brought many changes for our ministry, including new staff, new additions to our families, and new opportunities for growth. Each one has given us hard work and great blessings. We are, as always, grateful to the Archdiocese for supporting us and grateful to God for His loving hand guiding all things

Regional Family Events

This year, we hosted 2 family conferences, 1 family retreat, and 1 family picnic.

The SOUTH Family Conference (February 6-9) was held at St. George Orthodox Church in Houston, TX in February 24 families registered Fr Jason Foster was the keynote speaker In May, we hosted the EAST Family Retreat (May 1-4) at St Philip Orthodox Church in Souderton, PA Originally, the event was to be held at Antiochian Village, but due to storm damage and power outages, we changed locations less than 36 hours before the conference started! Originally, 44 families registered, and 28 ultimately attended. Fr. Josiah Trenham gave our keynote addresses.

We are grateful to the parishioners at St Philip’s for generously helping us pull the conference together!

The WEST Family Picnic (May 24th) was held at St Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church in Covina, CA. Presbytera Catherine Trenham gave a talk, and families were able to discuss the future of WEST events. 11 families registered.

Fr. John Boddecker gave the keynote address at the NEW ENGLAND Family Conference (October 18), which was held at St George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, MA (43) families registered

“We truly had the most amazing time [at the EAST Conference] and came home with hearts full of joy and gratitude! Thank you to everyone for making it happen!”

Online Events

We hosted 4 Saint Macrina Lectures: “Avoiding Burnout” with Fr Benjamin and Mat Melissa Naasko (112 registrants); “Planning the School Year” with Cheryl Floyd and Alexandra Gonzalez (126); “Teamwork: Marriage is Not 50/50” (99) with Fr. Luke and Presv. Judy Carpenter; and “Navigating the Holidays” (77) with Fr. Noah and Mindi.

We continued to run our two online discussion groups: Moms’ Tea (266, 48 new in 2025), Homesteading (103, 26 new in 2025), and added one: Parenting Toward the Kingdom (62) We paused our Dad Gab (65, 2 new in 2025) group to restructure it in order to better meet homeschool dads’ needs

The teens gathered online for 4 Bible Studies: “The Lord’s Prayer” (29 registrants), “Lent” (18), “Sermon on the Mount” (40), and “The Book of Exodus” (44). In the fall, Sister Sarah from Holy Transfiguration Monastery (Ellwood City) spoke to the girls (42), while Fr. John Boddecker led a talk for the boys (14)

With the help of two of our interns, Caroline and Londyn, we hosted our first preteen event, a discussion of the book Icon (30) We hope that we will be able to host more events for this age group (9-12 year olds) in the future.

Scholarships

Through the immense generosity of an anonymous donor, we were able to give away these scholarships:

-58 clergy families received $103,811 85 total through the St Basil Clergy Family Scholarship -17 families received $16,465 total through the St. Theosebia Need Scholarship. 28 families are waitlisted due to a lack of funds.

-13 co-ops received $11,589 total through the Co-Op Grant -Gabriella (Brown) Bratton received $1,000 through the St Gregory Merit Scholarship Gabriella had attended our online teen events for many years and served as an intern She used the money to help pay for her wedding Many years to Gabriella and her new husband Ignatius!

“I want to thank each and every one of you for your kindness! The scholarship is a tremendous help to us and means that our daughters will be able to take part in the wonderful classes provided by St Raphael’s. We are homeschooling our 5 daughters, and these online courses have been wonderful for them! May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you and keep you!”

Publishing & Other Media

With the launch of St. Emmelia Press (an imprint of Basilian Media), we published our first book, “Paving the Road to College Through an Orthodox Perspective” by Christopher Chiakulas. The book debuted in the top 100 for both college guides and homeschool resources and currently has 5 stars on Amazon

This year, we also began work on a history curriculum This series will tell the story of the world through the lives of the saints. Its core text is geared towards junior high, with supplemental material for all grade levels. We are beginning with the Middle Ages, as this era can be particularly challenging to find Orthodox-based material for.

We shared 17 podcast episodes, including our “Discerning Vocation” series for teens We did not receive any statistics from AFR in 2025, but previous reports suggest an average of 750 streams per month

Over the year, we posted 18 blog posts. Our most popular blog post, “The (Somewhat) Definitive Guide to Tying Headscarves,” received 1,877 views.

Overall, our website had 28,000 unique visitors. “Curriculum/Lesson Plans” is our most popular webpage Our Facebook group gained about 300 new members over the year (1,553 total), and our Co-Op Directory has 81 listings

Administrative Updates

On the first full day of spring, after a very difficult pregnancy, Mindi delivered a healthy baby girl, Flora Elizabeth Sarah (St. Flora of Kildare and St. Elizabeth, the Mother of the Forerunner). She is immensely grateful for everyone’s prayers for her family

We said goodbye to our Financial Coordinator Marcy in August as she stepped back to better meet her family’s needs Ann Hershey, a former volunteer conference coordinator, was unofficially hired in September and has been an incredible asset to our ministry. We are grateful to the Archdiocese for approving these changes and onboarding Ann.

Vision & Goals

Our ministry’s vision is to “inspire, equip, unite, and educate Orthodox Christian homeschooling families ” Over the next two years, we will keep growing and expanding our offerings in order to effectively serve this rapidly growing population. Specific goals include:

Publish a four- or five-book history curriculum, as well as educational fiction books to supplement this curriculum

Publish a nature study curriculum that teaches our role in God’s creation

Add conferences in the West and Midwest (at least), as well as sacred arts conferences for teens throughout the US

Expand our Co-Op Directory to include every Orthodox homeschool co-op in the US

II. Institutional Capacity and Strategic Partnerships

AHOS has substantially strengthened its scholarly and institutional capacity through the recruitment of internationally recognized scholars and the implementation of structured professional development initiatives Faculty members have achieved significant international recognition, including invited presentations at the University of Balamand in Lebanon and active leadership within the Orthodox Canon Law Society of North America and The Society for the Law of the Eastern Churches. Institutionally, AHOS has established an Alumni Association and the Orthodox Academic Society to enhance graduate engagement and institutional visibility.

External recognition of AHOS's scholarly contributions has resulted in a formal invitation to establish a United States unit of the International Chair in Bioethics, marking our institution's entry into an international network of advanced bioethical research and education. Additionally, AHOS has executed formal and developing Memoranda of Understanding with domestic and international partners, most notably the Faculty of Orthodox Theology "Saint Dumitru Stăniloae" at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași, Romania This partnership represents a significant milestone in Orthodox higher education, facilitating faculty collaboration, student pathways, and mission-aligned academic exchange

III. Accreditation, Compliance, and Institutional Governance

AHOS has demonstrated exemplary engagement with the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) community through active participation in accreditation processes and peer collaboration Senior leadership regularly participates in ATS/COA Biennial Meetings, contributing substantively to sectorwide governance and dialogue. AHOS has exceeded all ATS reporting requirements with submissions consistently reviewed, approved, and in several instances commended for quality and thoroughness.

Fiscal and administrative governance reflect institutional commitment to excellence AHOS has implemented comprehensive accounting systems compliant with U S GAAP and FASB standards, along with all requisite internal control policies Independent audit and management review have affirmed the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting. As we approach the Spring 2026 focused evaluation visit, AHOS remains fully prepared, with evaluation practices now embedded institutionally to guide ongoing decisions, faculty development, and continuous academic improvement

One of the key features of this edition is its improved layout, which eliminates confusion by presenting each service in full rather than using dual columns for variations This makes the book more user-friendly for celebrants Additionally, the appendices have been expanded to include scholarly insights, critical Greek texts, and practical instructions for integrating Baptism into the Divine Liturgy during major feasts like Pascha and Theophany.

Hieratikon B The department is presently preparing Hieratikon B, a new translation based on the established critical text This volume includes critical editions of the Liturgy of St Basil the Great for one priest and deacon including the services of Vespers, Orthros and all the services preparatory to the Divine Liturgy. Augmented with full general rubrics. The edition will be accompanied by extensive scholarly apparatus, including footnotes and endnotes that provide textual, historical, and liturgical commentary It will also incorporate the prayers behind the amvon for the feasts, as attested in ancient manuscript traditions

Hieratikon Γ The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts. Prepare a volume on the Service of Holy Prayer-Oil (Anointing). Revise the book of the Funeral and other Services for the Departed.

Our Mission

Ancient Faith Ministries exists to carry out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ through accessible and excellently crafted publications and creative media that evangelize, edify, educate, and engage, leading to a living experience of God through His Holy Orthodox Church

Our Content

Ancient Faith Radio is the arm of our ministry that facilitates 3 streaming internet radio stations, a total of 55 active podcasts, 7 live shows that broadcast over the radio as well as video streaming, our video content for YouTube, and a vast library of classic recordings from beloved priests and teachers

In the past year, our radio streams were played for over 1 3 million hours, our podcast library (current and archived) surpassed 8 6 million streams, and our video content exceeded 4 1 million views on YouTube. Ancient Faith Radio has seen significant growth in the past year across all of our content offerings, with one of the largest growth areas being our presence outside of the United States, as 25% of our internet radio audience as well as 50% of our YouTube audience is now international.

Ancient Faith Publishing releases approximately 15-20 new Orthodox books for adults and children each year, with over 350 publications in print, including conventional paper books, prayer books, instructional booklets, brochures, video sets, workbooks, and study guides. We also offer many of our books in eBook (250) and audiobook (112) format. Ancient Faith Publishing is presently focused on increasing the number of audiobooks in circulation to meet the growing demand for this medium. We also produce Orthodox greeting cards for all occasions and an annual Icon Calendar including a comprehensive presentation of the liturgical calendar along with educational resources on selected Saint and Feast Days

Our publications are available from the Ancient Faith Store, as well as from Amazon.com and other major online retailers worldwide. We continue to investigate other possible book distribution avenues for selling our books internationally. As of this writing, over 80 Ancient Faith Publishing titles have been published in other languages through the sale of foreign rights to Orthodox publishers in Romania, Greece, Russia, Serbia, Albania, Egypt, Lebanon, France, Germany, Brazil, and beyond

Ancient Faith Kids is now three years old and is working hard to be a reliable source of both printed books and videos for Orthodox Christian families. Between 2025 and 2026 around 9-10 books have been or will be published, and the video effort now has more than 300 videos available for viewing, with almost 80 planned to release in 2026, including a new effort to reach the deaf community The Ancient Faith Kids team feels supported and is excited for the upcoming work in front of them

DEPARTMENT OF CONVENTION AND CONFERENCE CENTER

FUNCTIONS OF THE DCCP

The DCCP plays a critical role in facilitating the organization and execution of the Biennial Convention and the annual PLCs in each Diocese. The DCCP ensures that guidelines established by the Archdiocese are implemented and that the Archdiocese is well protected from agreements entered into by parishes who are hosting the conventions and conferences

The DCCP offers assistance to parishes when hosting Conventions and Parish Life Conferences This is done in with coordination our AE team, the DCCP co-chairs and PLC coordinators and local auxiliary Bishops.

The DCCP communicates with each Auxilary Bishop directly or through the PLC coordinators in their respective dioceses and directly with the Archdiocese/Metropolitan concerning Conventions The DCCP and its coordinators work with the regional Diocese Mission Councils (DMC) along with the Department of Youth and Department of Christian Education in order to facilitate Bible Bowl and Festival awards and expenses.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS – 2025

The DCCP successfully provided continuous guidance and support through on-going communication with the respective Conference Coordinators, AE team and host parishes for the 2025 PLCs and the 2025 Biennial Archdiocese Convention.

The DCCP documented a successful PLC season with increased attendance at the 2025 PLCs as well as a successful Archdiocese Convention hosted by St George Church, Cicero, Illinois

The DCCP continues to oversee and monitor the planning and execution of upgrades to the Antiochian Events system.

The DCCP continues to review and approve all future PLC and Convention agreements

The DCCP continues to work closely with the Order of St Ignatius to help with the promotion of the Order at PLCs and Conventions.

The DCCP worked diligently to find a host parish for the 59 Biennial Archdiocese Convention and are pleased to announce that St Elias Cathedral, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada will host the 2029 Archdiocese Convention th

GOALS 2026-2027

To work with and assist the host parish and convention committee of the 58 Biennial Archdiocese Convention hosted by St. Andrew Church, Riverside, California in 2027. th

To provide guidance and support to the Conference Coordinators and host parishes for the 2026 and 2027 PLCs

To secure a bid from a suitable parish to host the 2031 Archdiocese Convention.

To hold a biennial DCCP meeting in the Fall of 2026 to solidify all PLC coordinator teams and to provide consistency across the Archdiocese Date to be determined

To continue to oversee and monitor the planning and execution of upgrades, to the Antiochian Events System.

To work more closely with the Diocese Mission Councils (DMC) in order to ensure consistency in the planning and execution of all PLCs

To update the existing Convention Planning Manual and Conference Planning Manual to better reflect the evolving needs and current trends within the Dioceses and Archdiocese.

To continue to monitor PLC and Convention challenges due to increased hotel room rates, food and other costs associated with planning and negotiating hotel contracts

VISION FOR THE DCCP IN THE FUTURE

The vision for the DCCP is to continue to promote and support successful PLCs and Archdiocese Conventions; and that these important events continue to provide opportunities for our faithful to worship together, to socialize, and to make new and lifelong friendships

FUNDING and EXPENSES

The DCCP covers expenses related to Convention and PLC items required for the Bible Bowl and Oratorical Festivals, as well as software upgrades to the Antiochian Events system. In addition, reimbursement is made available for Conference Coordinators to attend the biennial DCCP meetings. DCCP funding is obtained from the portion of the Conference registration fees collected

Mission Statement: The Department of Lay Ministry engages Archdiocesan clergy and laity in strategic and structured conversations within seminars, consultations, and workshops that enable them to build up the Body of Christ as stewards and leaders of their Orthodox Christian dioceses, parishes, missions, and communities. Based on our Mission, the Department provides specific programs designed to deepen the spiritual lives of Orthodox Christians and Orthodox Christian parishes. The Department now offers specific programs.

1 Since 1970, The Enliven to Christ retreats and workshops are presented at all Archdiocesan conventions and also are available upon request to parishes and parish life conferences. Topics for these retreats and workshops include Orthodox Christian thought on the “seven deadly sins”; the Prayer of St. Ephraim; the Lord’s Prayer; Forgiveness and Reconciliation; The Servant Leader.

A session was presented at the Archdiocese Convention in Chicago 2025 on Spirituality and Leadership. Spiritual leadership is sacred stewardship that “serves and inspires others to fulfill God’s purposes based on the intimate work of God in one’s own life” (Olson) as well as the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.In addition, a seminar was presented on this scripture: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and your neighbor as yourself.” We were grateful that it was well attended and very engaging.

2 The Program for Parish Leadership and Parish Development: The Department of Lay Ministry offers to pastors and their parishes a leadership and parish development workshop that features structured conversations as well as a conciliar decision-making process. Through facilitated conversations, pastors and parish leaders engage in a model of Orthodox Christian leadership experienced through the articulation of a parish mission, a parish vision, and parish core spiritual values. SMART goals, objectives, and action plans actualize the desired outcomes of the parish mission and vision

CURRENT: We are currently engaged with two parishes namely St. Barnabas, Costa Mesa CA and St. Andrew the First Called, Lexington KY. We will initiate a program of leadership and parish development with St. Nicholas in Bridgeport, CT in April 2026. In addition, we are working with the Executive Board of the Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology and Religion (OCAMPRA) so as to assist them with the development of a mission, vision for the next three years with associated SMART goals, values and discernment of spiritual gifts In our work with parishes using facilitated conversations, we identify common parish themes, concerns and challenges. We engage with many highly developed and insightful pastors and parishioners who pose many questions, e.g., What is keeping individuals away from church? Where are our young families and how do we serve their needs? How do we address the many needs of the elderly within our parish? How do we address the growth within our parishes as our facilities are increasingly too small?How do we develop an inclusive parish addressing concerns across the age range? How do we sustain an intergenerational parish environment?

In our conversations, pastors and parishioners indicate the following concerns that include the need to deepen the communities’ understanding of the Faith and Orthodox Christian spiritual formation; engage parishioners within the liturgical life of the parish; increase the membership and number of individuals engaged with parish organizations and ministries; develop approaches for the return of the ‘lapsed’ and ‘lost sheep’ of the parish; address the demands of family life and spiritual development; develop sustainable financial strategies to secure the parish; address the spirituality of leadership and create mentoring programs; become a welcoming and inclusive parish community dedicated to caring for and developing all parishioners as faithful stewards of the Church; reduce conflict within the parish and bringing unity to the parish, its mission, vision, values, and goals; initiate ministry programs supporting evangelism and humanitarian outreach to the greater parish community and the community at large

Goals: 2025-2026

secure Archdiocese funding to support the work of the Department; this Department is selfsupporting since its establishment in 1970. As a result, it is very difficult to recruit new members to the Department in spite of interested persons. If the ministry is to continue, it is essential that new members are recruited, prepared, and funded in their work This is an urgent matter expand the department’s membership through collaboration with the Archbishop and Bishops to recruit and to prepare Diocesan teams that can lead parish planning and development workshops within their respective Dioceses; engage parishes in workshops that facilitate the development of the parish mission, vision, value, and goals as well as guide parishioners to discern their gifts and engage these gifts for service to the parish and others;

collaborate with the Department of Missions and Evangelism to offer parish leadership and development workshops to newly formed missions and missions moving toward full parish status; request each Bishop to invite the Department to present at appropriate Diocesan venues on Orthodox spirituality and leadership as well as parish planning and development; explore inter-Orthodox jurisdictional collaboration on Orthodox Christian Leadership, Parish Planning, Development and Sustainability
