JANUARY 14, I had the joy of hosting my first Sourdough Baking 101 class, welcoming 27 participants for an evening centered around real food, learning, and connection. As a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, my work has always focused on helping people understand why what we eat matters and sourdough is a perfect example of traditional food that supports both nourishment and enjoyment. For years, I’ve been passionate about teaching practical, sustainable skills that people can actually use in their daily lives. This class was an extension of that mission. Together, we explored the sourdough process from starter care to fermentation and baking, breaking it down in a way that felt approachable and empowering. The goal wasn’t perfection, it was confidence,
curiosity, and the ability to go home and try something new.
The class sold out quickly, a clear sign that people are craving hands-on education and a deeper connection to their food. The energy in the room was inspiring, and the evening was beautifully captured by Lisa Knoebel Photography, preserving the joy and sense of community that made the event so special.
Because of the overwhelming interest, future Sourdough Baking 101 classes will be offered. This experience confirmed what I see every day in my coaching work: when people are given the right tools and support, meaningful change feels possible - and even fun.

BANZERINI HOUSE PRESENTS Our American Tragedy, a gripping original drama that takes audiences inside Ford’s Theatre on April 14, 1865, the night President Abraham Lincoln was shot. Rather than focusing on the event itself, the play turns its attention backstage, where actors and crew are suddenly locked inside the theatre and forced to confront fear, suspicion, and the weight of history unfolding just beyond the curtain.
As the night stretches on, shock gives way to interrogation. Each person remembers the evening differently, and each carries private fears and motivations. Told through urgent present-day scenes and fluid flashbacks, Our American Tragedy explores how truth bends under pressure and how quickly unity fractures when survival is at stake. The result is a tense ensemble drama that feels as much like a psychological thriller as a historical reckoning. The production is staged by Banzerini House, a nonprofit film, theatre, and
arts company known for its bold storytelling and commitment to meaningful artistic education. The organization blends professional-level production with mentorship, giving performers the opportunity to tackle complex material while developing discipline, empathy, and craft.
The show finds a fitting home at the historic Pioneer Village, where the textures of the past still linger in the walls. Performing a story rooted in American history within a space dedicated to preserving it creates a rare sense of immediacy and authenticity. The setting deepens the experience, inviting audiences to feel not only the tension of the story but the weight of time itself.
Our American Tragedy is not a history lesson. It is an examination of human behavior in moments when history is watching and silence becomes a choice. For more information on show times and tickets please visit www.banzerinihouse.org

ECHNOLOGY HAS TRANSFORMED nearly every part of our daily lives and pool ownership is no exception. Modern pool equipment and automation systems are making it easier than ever to maintain clean, efficient, and beautiful pools with less effort. For Anthem homeowners, upgrading outdated systems can mean lower energy costs, improved performance, and more time spent enjoying the pool instead of managing it.
If your pool equipment is more than a decade old, it’s likely costing you more to operate than you realize. Older single-speed pumps and inefficient filters often run longer than necessary and consume far more electricity than modern models. Upgrading to a variable-speed pump can reduce energy use by up to 80%, helping offset the cost of replacement in just a few years.
Beyond energy savings, newer systems run quieter, last longer, and are easier to maintain. Pairing updated pumps and filters with advanced automation ensures your pool operates at peak efficiency year-round.
Automation takes convenience to the next level. Today’s smart pool systems allow homeowners to control nearly every aspect of their backyard from a smartphone or tablet. With just a few taps, you can turn pumps and heaters on or off, adjust water features or spa jets, and even set timers for landscape lighting. Many systems can also be integrated with fire bowls, accent lighting, and other outdoor features, turning your automation system into a back yard control center.
Imagine stepping outside to an evening setting where the pool lights glow softly, the fire features flicker, the spa begins to warm, and your waterfalls come to life — all
controlled effortlessly from the palm of your hand. Automation offers both comfort and efficiency, giving homeowners complete control of their outdoor living space.
The best equipment upgrades combine performance, efficiency, and ease of use. That means replacing older pumps and filters with energy-efficient models, installing LED lighting for better ambiance and lower power use, and integrating automation systems to simplify day-to-day pool and backyard management. When combined with heating systems and water features, these upgrades can transform how you experience your outdoor space.
INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF YOUR POOL
Upgrading your pool equipment isn’t just about keeping up with technology — it’s about creating a smarter, more sustainable outdoor space. Modern systems save energy, reduce maintenance, and allow you to enjoy your pool and backyard with minimal effort.
With a few thoughtful upgrades, your entire backyard can run as smoothly as it looks.

HITHERE, ANTHEM! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Noel Ortiz, founder of Arizona Outdoor Design Group LLC. I grew up between New York City and Long Island in a Puerto Rican household where landscaping was more than a trade—it was a way of life. By age seven, I was already on job sites learning plant names, soil textures, and the rhythm of seasonal care. Those early lessons, combined with a degree in landscape design and a minor in turf management, launched a career that now spans more than three decades.
Formal education gave me a strong technical foundation, but my true education came from hands-on experience across every corner of the green industry. Over the years, I’ve maintained golf course turf, worked in nurseries, designed and installed green walls, created water features, managed lakes and ponds, and overseen irrigation systems, lawn maintenance, and full design-build projects. My portfolio ranges from intimate rooftop gardens in New York City to 20acre private estates, as well as federal, state, and municipal properties. This breadth of experience allows me to deliver both technical precision and practical sensibility—qualities my clients rely on.
That wide background informs everything I do today. I listen to the site, respect the climate, and design for the people who will actually live in the space. My understanding of irrigation, plant selection, construction materials, and long-term maintenance allows me to create landscapes that are

beautiful, durable, and low-maintenance—designed around real lifestyles, not magazine ideals.
Nine years ago, a visit to Arizona’s North Valley transformed my perspective. I was captivated by the panoramic desert views and the region’s year-round outdoor living culture, and I relocated to bring my East Coast experience to the unique challenges of the desert. I founded Arizona Outdoor Design Group LLC to craft outdoor living environments—pools, spas, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens—that honor desert constraints while maximizing comfort and aesthetic appeal.
I take a hands-on, client-centered approach grounded in clear communication about choices, budgets, and timelines. I apply craftsman-level attention to detail to drought-tolerant plant palettes, energy-efficient lighting, shade solutions, and hardscapes that age gracefully under the sun. For me, success isn’t a staged photograph—it’s watching a yard become a stage for life, filled with family, celebration, and lasting memories. That philosophy has led to repeat clients and steady referrals.
My work is rooted in family values and a tireless work ethic. One of my father’s lessons, “There is no such thing as mañana,” still guides how I work today. As I continue to expand across the North Valley, I remain committed to personalized service, strong local partnerships, and educating homeowners on sustainable, efficient choices so their outdoor spaces can be enjoyed for years to come.
COMMUNITY SUBMISSION by Noel Ortiz

THIS SPRING, THE Anthem community is invited to gather for an evening of laughter, reflection, and connection as Life in Abundance takes the stage at the Musical Theatre of Anthem. Created to celebrate 25 years of the Anthem community, this original production brings local stories to life through heart, humor, and shared experiences.
Produced by Anthem Cares Through Service (ACTS), Life in Abundance is more than an entertaining night out—it is ACTS’ largest fundraiser of the year, with all proceeds directly supporting neighbors right here in Anthem. Funds raised help provide short-term financial assistance to families facing unexpected hardship and support essential services for homebound seniors who need help staying independent and connected.
Adding to the production’s local roots is its director, Nancie Tobison, an Anthem resident whose career in music and theater spans more than 40 years. A longtime music educator, Tobison has worked with students ranging from preschoolers to adults and has directed more than 50 university, high school, and community musical theater productions. Her career includes being a Grammy finalist and being honored at Carnegie Hall as Music Director of the Year in 2013. Her experience and passion for storytelling bring depth, polish, and heart to this special community-centered production.
What makes Life in Abundance unique is its deep connection to Anthem itself. The show reflects everyday moments that shape a community—the challenges, kindness, resilience, and generosity that define life in Anthem. Audience members will recognize familiar themes, shared values, and the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors.
“Life in Abundance is really about celebrating who we are,” said Linda Pizzo, Executive Chair of ACTS. “It honors the past 25 years of this community while bringing people together to support neighbors who may be struggling right now.”
Performances will take place throughout March at the Musical Theatre of Anthem, with both evening and matinee shows available. Tickets are $50 and include pre-show appetizers and snacks, creating a relaxed and welcoming experience to enjoy with friends and neighbors. A wine and beer cash bar, raffle prizes, and reserved seating are offered, and early ticket purchases are encouraged.
At its heart, Life in Abundance is a reminder that Anthem is more than a place—it’s a community built on compassion, connection, and care. Tickets are available at anthemacts.org.

VETERANS BREAKTHROUGH IS a nonprofit organization formed in Arizona with one clear mission: Help veterans grow from the inside out and live a life with purpose. To support this, they leverage Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to create connected experiences where veterans can build comradery while re-engaging core values such as discipline, humility, resilience, and trust—all of which are key components of the grappling sport.
Veteran’s Breakthrough provides year-long scholarships for veterans, eliminating financial barriers and leveraging their affiliate gyms that span across the state. Beyond scholarships, they host annual retreats that prioritize team building, training, and personal development. They have established a network of mentors, which pairs veterans with leaders who provide guidance, perspective, and support.
The organization hosts events throughout the state, including monthly ‘open mats’ that bring the community together to train and build meaningful relationships. Their biggest event is their bi-annual tournament which will be taking place on April 25th in Mesa. The event brings together 300+ competitors in an airplane
hangar with all proceeds going directly to support veterans across Arizona.
One of their board members, Jeff Albrecht-Ayala owns Infinite Jiu-Jitsu here in Anthem. A veteran-centric gym, they offer complimentary morning training to all vets while partnering with other local Veterans organizations: youth for troops and daisy mountain veterans.
The transition from military service to civilian life is one of the hardest battles many veterans face. The uniform comes off, the mission ends, and too often the structure and sense of purpose disappear overnight. Veterans Breakthrough exists to close that gap. They stand by the motto “Vincit Qui Se Vincit” — He Who Conquers Himself, Conquers All. Veterans Breakthrough prioritizes empowerment. It is about reminding veterans that the strength, discipline, and grit forged in service are still within them.

DON’T NEED luck when you’re precisely prepared!
As Arizona shifts from mild winter days into warmer spring and summer temperatures, pest activity ramps up fast. Rising heat pushes insects and rodents to search for food, water, and shelter—and unfortunately, our homes often provide all three. Preparing now can make a major difference in keeping pests outside where they belong.
Warmer weather signals increased activity from ants, cockroaches, spiders, scorpions, termites, and rodents. Many of these pests thrive in desert environments and become more noticeable as temperatures climb. The key to prevention is addressing vulnerabilities before peak season hits.
Start with the exterior of your home. Inspect the foundation, door thresholds, and window frames for cracks or gaps. Even small openings can become easy entry points for insects and rodents. Sealing these areas with caulk or weather stripping is one of the simplest and most effective preventative steps homeowners can take.
Next, take a look at your yard and landscaping. Overgrown vegetation, stacked wood, rock piles, and dense ground cover provide perfect hiding spots for pests— especially scorpions and spiders. Trim shrubs away from your home, keep tree branches from touching the roof, and avoid placing firewood or debris directly
against exterior walls. Proper yard maintenance plays a big role in pest prevention in desert climates.
Water management is another crucial factor. As temperatures rise, pests are drawn to moisture. Leaky hoses, irrigation issues, and standing water can quickly attract ants, mosquitoes, and roaches. Check irrigation systems regularly and ensure water drains away from the foundation.
Inside the home, focus on cleanliness and food storage. Warmer months mean pests are more active and persistent. Store pantry items in sealed containers, wipe down counters regularly, and avoid leaving pet food out overnight. While cleanliness alone won’t stop all pests, it significantly reduces what attracts them indoors.
Finally, consider professional pest control before peak season arrives. Preventative treatments create a protective barrier around your home, targeting pests before infestations begin. Early-season service is often more effective and less stressful than reacting after pests are already inside.
Getting your home ready now sets you up for a more comfortable, pest-free warmer season. With a little proactive maintenance and expert support, you can enjoy the sunshine without unwanted guests tagging along. Luck favors the prepared!
EXPERT CONTRIBUTOR by David Coleman

THE ANTHEM COUNTRY Club housing market is beginning to see more options as we are mid-way through the most active period for real estate in Anthem (January - May). Active inventory flat to last year with 86 homes available for sale, up 21% MoM. Home sales for the prior 3 months are down 18% YoY (32 vs 39), and down 25% MoM. 15 homes are currently under contract, which means they have an accepted offer, but does not guarantee a closed sale.
Homes have also been selling for lower prices with price per square foot of closed homes from 11/2025 - 12/2025 at $292 sq/ft, 12/2025 - 1/2026 at $287 sq/ft, and 1/2026 - 2/2026 at $280 sq/ft. The average decrease from the initial listing price to the sale price for the 32 homes sold in Anthem Country Club over the last 3 months is 6.84%. Closed home days on market over the last 3 months are at 87 days; 10 days longer than same period last year, an increase of 13%.
30-year mortgage rates closed the week of 2/6/2026 at 6.16% and have been hovering at levels not seen since January of 2023, as they hit a high of 8.08% in October of 2023, and this time last year were just above 7%, according to mortgagenewsdaily.com.
Recent declines in home prices and lower mortgage rates have given more buyers more opportunities and more homes to consider in 2026. In 2025, from 2/9/2025 to 5/9/2025, 51 homes were sold in Anthem Country Club, an increase of 31% over the prior 3 months (11/9/2024 - 2/9/2025). If we see this same pattern continue, it would indicate 42 homes sold over the next 3 months and underscore the importance of accurate listing pricing to make homes more attractive to buyers.
Todd Ninneman
• Inventory is increasing, giving buyers more choices as the spring market begins.
• Homes are taking slightly longer to sell
• Prices per square foot are trending downward, creating buyer opportunity.
• Many homes are selling below asking price, making pricing strategy critical.
• Mortgage rates are lower than last year, improving affordability.
• Buyer activity is expected to pick up seasonally through spring.
• Sellers who price accurately will be best positioned to succeed in 2026.

AT THE BASE of Daisy Mountain, where the Sonoran Desert meets preserved, open land and sweeping mountain views, stands one of Anthem’s most iconic residences. Known simply as The Castle, this extraordinary estate is one of only five custom homes ever built within the gates of the Anthem Country Club—a rare architectural achievement that continues to define luxury living in the community.
From its inception, The Castle was envisioned as a statement of permanence and artistry. Designed with timeless European influence, the home was crafted to feel rooted, intentional, and enduring—more Old World estate than modern showpiece. Set alongside protected preserve land on multiple sides, the property enjoys an exceptional level of privacy while remaining deeply connected to its natural surroundings.
Spanning more than 8,100 square feet, including

a detached guest house with over 600 square feet, the estate immediately impresses without overwhelming. A luxurious brick courtyard entrance welcomes guests with a Cantera stone fireplace, fountain, and lush greenery—an arrival that feels both grand and inviting. Inside, the architecture unfolds with remarkable cohesion: a dramatic coffered entry ceiling, brick barrel hallways, and soaring 22-foot tongue-and-groove beamed ceilings establish rhythm, scale, and warmth from the very first step inside.
The natural materials throughout the home reflect a commitment to authenticity and craftsmanship. Tumbled travertine floors, reclaimed wood, Venetian plaster, and stone walls work in harmony, creating a layered, textural environment that feels both refined and livable. Stained wood Pella casement windows frame the desert light beautifully, while multiple fireplaces—many clad in Cantera stone -anchor gathering spaces with warmth and presence. These elements are not

decorative flourishes; they are foundational choices that give the home its timeless character.
The main residence offers four generously sized bedrooms, each with a private ensuite bath and walk-in closet, ensuring comfort and privacy throughout. A detached guest house, positioned off the central courtyard, provides an additional layer of flexibility—ideal for extended family, visiting guests, or a private retreat. Thoughtfully designed from the start, the estate balances formal elegance with everyday functionality, allowing spaces to feel purposeful yet still precious.
One of the most remarkable aspects of The Castle is how it manages to feel both grand and welcoming. Despite its scale and architectural presence, the home invites exploration. Each room reveals curated sightlines, rich textures, and an intentional relationship between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape. Mountain views are woven naturally into the experience of the home, enhancing—not overpowering—the interior design.
In 2023, I had the privilege of representing the buyers in an exemplary transition. The new owners, The Yano Family, approached it with deep appreciation for its original design and architectural integrity. Rather than altering its identity, they made a handful of carefully considered refinements to enhance livability while preserving the home’s original vision.

Working alongside interior designer Michelle Samar of Mongrel Design Interiors, the focus remained on stewardship rather than transformation.
Select updates subtly softened key spaces without diminishing the estate’s character. Architectural elements and materials were preserved, while thoughtful adjustments—such as the introduction of additional natural light in the main living area—enhanced the home’s warmth and connection to its surroundings. A small number of original furnishings were repurposed in creative ways, honoring their craftsmanship while allowing them to function beautifully within the home’s evolving internal landscape.
These refinements did not redefine The Castle; they reaffirmed it. The home today remains a testament to its original design—a residence built with conviction, vision, and an understanding that true luxury transcends trends. It’s a homemade for a fairytale.
Being the most iconic home in the Anthem Country Club, The Castle represents more than an address. It is a legacy property—an architectural landmark that continues to captivate through its balance of scale and soul, formality and comfort, tradition and livability. Its sale in 2023 marked a significant moment not only for the property itself, but for the Anthem community, reaffirming the enduring value of thoughtfully designed, one-of-a-kind homes.
In a market where luxury is often fleeting, The Castle stands as a reminder that the most exceptional homes are those built to last homes that honor their origins, tell a story, and continue to inspire long after the keys change hands.

DAYS ARE anything but ordinary at Gold Rush Elite
Each morning begins with an hour of gymnastics from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., giving kids the chance to build strength, coordination, and confidence right out of the gate. After a quick snack break, campers dive headfirst into the theme of the week—each one thoughtfully designed to balance learning, creativity, and nonstop fun.
Science & Nature Week invites curiosity and exploration. Children head out on nature walks with Mr. Don, where they learn about local habitats and animals they may encounter along the way. Campers often have the opportunity to safely catch and release critters, gaining hands-on understanding of the natural world. To expand their experience, additional local and exotic critters may also be introduced. The week is rounded out with science experiments— yes, the messy kind parents usually prefer not to attempt at home.
Cheer Week is all about teamwork and confidence. Campers learn the fundamentals of cheer, including tumbling, jumps, stunting, and dance. Throughout the week, they build toward a routine that culminates in a Friday performance for parents—a highlight filled with smiles and proud moments.
During Water Week, summer fun takes center stage. Kids cool off with water balloons, squirt guns, pool play, slip-and-slide action, and relay races using buckets of water. A water balloon launcher adds an extra dose of excitement. Campers should come prepared with a change of clothes, sunscreen, and a towel—it’s guaranteed to get splashy.
Nerf & Ninja Week brings high-energy adventure. Campers build bunkers, engage in Nerf battles, play dodgeball-style games, and tackle a ninja obstacle course where they’re timed to see just how fast they can go.
The summer wraps up with Carnival Week, featuring classic carnival games, prizes, and a special visit to the Big Top Circus Escape Room, where campers get to play the game themselves. Friday’s celebration includes corn dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, and all the festive flair of a true carnival experience.
Every day is packed with gym games, crafts, and laughter. Lunch is held at 12:00 p.m., with parents providing meals.

THANK
YOU TO everyone who helped make our Shred-A-Thon on January 24, 2026, such a success! Because of your participation, we were proud to support Youth for Troops, our local nonprofit that makes a real difference for our veterans and active-duty military members.
Youth for Troops is Anthem's youth-led 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to inspiring patriotism through hands-on community service. Their volunteers work year-round to support those who serve our country by assembling care packages for deployed troops, writing letters of appreciation, creating plastic sleeping mats for homeless veterans, and participating in projects that directly benefit military families. Their mission brings together people of all ages to show gratitude, compassion, and tangible support to our nation’s heroes. Funds raised through the Shred-A-Thon help Youth For Troops continue these impactful programs and expand their outreach both locally and nationally. Beyond secure document shredding, this event was about coming together as a community to support a cause rooted in service, respect, and giving back.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, and partnered (North Valley Junk Removal) with us to make this event possible. The energy, turnout, and support we saw throughout the day truly reflected the spirit of service that Youth for Troops represents.
Thank you for helping us stand behind those who have served and those who continue to serve our country.

THE IDES OF March - March 15th - in the ancient Roman calendar is remembered as the day Julius Caesar was assassinated. While I’ve always been more of a Cleopatra-kind-of-gal, history preserved this moment for a reason. Caesar was warned. The signs were visible. The unease was voiced. Yet he moved forward anyway, choosing familiarity over action. That detail, more than the event itself, is why the Ides of March endures as a warning.
It represents a moment many of us recognize: awareness without action. Not because the signs are unclear, but because responding to them often requires change - and change is uncomfortable.
The truth is, we usually recognize the signs long

before anything breaks. Discomfort rarely arrives all at once. A relationship begins to feel heavier than it used to. A job that once energized us starts to feel constricting instead of fulfilling. A boundary is crossed once, then again. What stands out is not that we fail to notice these moments— it’s that we often normalize them.
Here’s the shift most people miss: we notice something is wrong, and instead of addressing it, we begin tolerating it.
At first, awareness is healthy. It’s the internal nudge saying, pay attention. This isn’t aligned. But when action stalls, awareness stops being a signal and starts becoming something we carry. We don’t resolve the issue—we adapt to it. Over time, awareness quietly turns into endurance.
Endurance is not wisdom here. It’s coping. It’s staying in the uncomfortable, the misaligned, the exhausting, and calling it strength. The danger isn’t that we didn’t see the problem. The danger is that we saw it—and decided to survive it instead of change it.
Awareness is not meant to be carried indefinitely. It is meant to lead somewhere. Many of us have experienced this in a counselor’s office, sitting across from someone who helps us name the issue with clarity. We leave thinking, Yes that’s it. And yet, weeks later, nothing has changed. The awareness is still there, but so is the pattern.
That moment is revealing. Knowing the issue does not make it go away. Insight alone does not create change. Without action, awareness becomes something we manage rather than something we respond to.
That’s when awareness turns into endurance. And endurance, no matter how well-intentioned, is not the same as growth. This is why the Ides of March still matters today. It isn’t about the warning itself. It’s about what happens when awareness is acknowledged but not acted on.
So how do we know when awareness has reached its limit—when it’s no longer temporary discomfort, but a call to act? One signal is repetition. If the same issue keeps resurfacing in quiet moments, that isn’t overthinking. That’s unresolved tension asking for resolution. Another signal is energy. Pay attention to what feels heavy before the day even begins. When something consistently drains rather than challenges us in a healthy way, that’s not normal stress. That’s misalignment showing up physically before the mind is ready to name it.
The way we talk about a situation often tells us more than we realize. When we keep saying, “now isn’t the right time” or “once things settle down,” it’s worth noticing whether those words are buying clarity or simply buying time. Preparation shows up as movement. Avoidance shows up as repeated explanations.
Behavior is often the most honest indicator. When we circle the same situation without taking even one small step forward, action has been delayed long enough. Momentum doesn’t require certainty. It requires engagement.
And perhaps the clearest signal of all is shifting ownership and hoping someone else will decide for us. When pressure, circumstances, or another person becomes the catalyst, ownership has quietly slipped away. Awareness without action almost always ends this way. This is where many people get stuck—not because they lack motivation or capability, but because they’ve been trying to navigate change alone. Action doesn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes it means doing things differently. It means asking for perspective, leveraging relationships, or allowing support to shorten the distance between knowing and doing.
Sometimes that support looks like finally marketing the business you’ve been building quietly. Sometimes it’s the right introduction so you’re not growing in isolation. And sometimes it’s quieter still—learning how to show up with clearer boundaries and stronger self-trust than yesterday. The Ides of March isn’t about fear or urgency. It’s about responsibility. Awareness is not the finish line. It’s the starting point. When insight doesn’t lead to action, consequences eventually take its place. When the signs are there, action isn’t reckless. It’s respectful of your time, your energy, and the life you are actively building.

practicing for over 15 years, it becomes challenging to find continuing education courses that I find interesting and that I know will benefit my clients. I’m always interested in research based, proven modalities and lypossage checks all the boxes! I am one of a handful of practitioners in the valley who is certified in Lypossage. As someone who personally prefers natural over invasive treatments, I’m thrilled to offer Lypossage to my clients who may have a few problem areas, but don’t want to go under the knife or do anything invasive to their bodies.
Lypossage is a specialized, noninvasive bodywork technique designed to support lymphatic drainage, improve circulation and tone the skin. It’s often described as a natural alternative to mechanical body contouring treatments. It blends advanced deep tissue massage techniques, lymphatic drainage massage techniques, with a holistic understanding of the bodies entire lymphatic and circulatory systems.
At its core, Lypossage works by stimulating the lymphatic and circulatory systems, which plays a vital role in detoxification, immune function and fluid balance. When lymph flow becomes sluggish, the body may retain excess fluid and metabolic waste contributing to puffiness. Skin can become lax and cellulite becomes visible as the skin loses structure. Through rhythmic, targeted strokes, Lypossage encourages lymph movement, circulation and toning of the skin. The results are quite remarkable! Many clients notice their skin feels firmer, looks smoother and appears more toned after a series of sessions. Results are best supported with proper hydration, regular movement and a healthy diet. As a holistic health and wellness coach, I enjoy helping my clients have a well-rounded approach.
Beyond the aesthetic benefits, Lypossage offers therapeutic benefits that contribute to overall wellness. Clients often report feelings of lightness, relaxation and reduced muscle tension following treatments. Improved circulation may also support skin health and recovery making Lypossage a popular compliment to fitness routines, detox programs and post-surgical care when approved by a healthcare provider.
Lypossage is gentle, customizable and suitable for a wide range of individuals. While it is not a medical treatment or replacement for weight loss strategies, it can be a powerful tool for those seeking a natural way to support their body’s detox pathways and enhanced body contouring.
At Vibrant Life Health & Wellness Coaching, we combine skilled manual techniques with a whole-body approach. Our Lypossage practice stands out as both a cosmetic and therapeutic experience—one that nurtures the body from the inside out!

NAD, SHORT FOR nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a vital coenzyme found in every cell of the body. It plays a central role in cellular energy production, DNA repair, and overall metabolic function. While the body naturally produces NAD, levels decline with age, chronic stress, poor sleep, and environmental factors—often contributing to fatigue, brain fog, and accelerated aging.
One of the most well-known benefits of NAD is its role in energy production. NAD helps convert nutrients from food into ATP, the energy source that fuels every cellular process. When NAD levels are supported, many individuals report improved energy, endurance, and mental clarity—without the spikes or crashes associated with caffeine or stimulants. This makes NAD especially appealing for those experiencing burnout, demanding schedules, or chronic fatigue.
NAD also supports brain health and cognitive performance. It plays a role in protecting neurons from oxidative stress and supports healthy neurotransmitter activity. Maintaining optimal NAD levels may help enhance focus, memory, and mental sharpness, and may offer protective benefits as we age.
Another key benefit of NAD lies in cellular repair and longevity. NAD activates sirtuins—often called “longevity genes”—which help regulate inflammation, support DNA repair, and promote cellular resilience. These processes are essential for healthy aging and may help slow age-related cellular decline.
In addition, NAD contributes to metabolic health by supporting efficient glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity. This can be beneficial for individuals focused on weight management, metabolic balance, or overall vitality. NAD also assists in managing oxidative stress and supporting the body’s natural detoxification pathways.
Rather than acting as a temporary boost, NAD works at a foundational level— supporting the body from the inside out. By enhancing energy production, cognitive function, cellular repair, and metabolic health, NAD offers a sciencebacked approach to longevity and sustained wellness at every stage of life.

YOUKNOW EXACTLY where every bathroom is. At Target. At church. At dinner. At your child’s soccer field.
You cross your legs when you laugh. You avoid jumping workouts. You keep an extra pair of underwear in your bag and buy pads in bulk, hiding them under the sink like a secret. You tell herself it is normal. After babies. After 40. After menopause.
But deep down, you’re tired of planning your life around your bladder.
Urinary leakage has a way of shrinking a woman’s world. It is not just the physical inconvenience. It is the constant awareness and quiet anxiety that follows her into workouts, car rides, social events, and intimacy. Most women wait years before speaking up. They are told it is common. They are handed pads and reassurance that this is simply what happens with age.
Living guarded is not the same as living well. As a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than two decades in medicine, I have seen how deeply this affects confident, high-performing women. Bladder urgency, leakage, and tissue changes are often minimized, yet they impact daily life, relationships, and self-image. Pads have quietly become a routine purchase - not because women want them, but because they believe they have no other option.
Then the shift happens…The first sneeze without leaking. The first workout without hesitation. Boarding a plane without mapping out every lavatory. Feeling present during intimacy instead of anxious.
When bladder control is restored, posture changes. Confidence returns. The mental weight lifts.
At Arizona Beauty Lounge, we focus on restoring strength, tissue health, and physiological balance so women can feel at home in their bodies again. Because when you regain control, you don’t just stop leaking. You start living fully once again.

ATARIZONA ANTHEM Pickleball Club (AAZPC), improvement isn’t just encouraged— it’s built into the culture. Under the leadership of Joseph Rosales, the club’s instructional programs have become a staple for players across Anthem who want to sharpen their skills, grow their confidence, and have even more fun on the courts.
As pickleball continues to surge in popularity, AAZPC’s certified and experienced instructors meet players exactly where they are. Whether someone is picking up a paddle for the first time or refining advanced strategies, each program is intentionally designed to help players manage their game, improve consistency, and reach their individual potential.
Programs begin at the 2.0+ Beginner level, a three-lesson series focused on the fundamentals—proper grip, stance, footwork, paddle control, serving, returning, dinking, scoring, and court positioning. Players can then advance to the 2.5+ Advanced Beginner series, where instruction emphasizes stronger serves and
returns, third-shot drops, blocking, resets, and effective movement with a partner during scrimmage play.
For more experienced players, the 3.0+ Intermediate program helps bridge the gap between developing skills and consistent live-game execution. Instruction focuses on serve placement, transition-zone play, soft-game strategy, blocking, counterattacks, and smarter court positioning. Newly added 3.5+ Advanced Intermediate sessions take players even further, incorporating pace, spin, team strategy, and advanced shot selection in a flexible, semi-individual format.
AAZPC also offers four-player semi-private lessons for all skill levels, including optional video analysis that gives players valuable insight into technique and oncourt performance.
Ready to elevate your game? Visit aazpc.org and click on Instructional Programs to find the right fit and take your next step on the court.
