In collaboration with the Finnish auction house Annmaris, PIASA is organizing an auction dedicated to 20th century Finnish design on Thursday September 15, 2022.
The auction, which includes just over 200 lots, provides a remarkable overview of Finnish furniture production from the 1920s to the 1970s: an important selection of lights by Paavo Tynell will be presented, as well as an exceptional selection of ceramics by Birger Kaipiainen. Pieces by major names such as Alvar Aalto, Tapio Wirkkala, Kaj Franck and Ilmari Tapiovaara will also be on display.
For this sale dedicated to Finnish design, PIASA reiterates its confidence in the Finnish auction house Annmaris with which the catalog has been created. Last year, the Finnish design auction held in September 2021 with Annmaris had generated a result of nearly 2.2 million euros including fees.
Based in Tampere for the past thirty years, this family business is considered one of the leading experts in Scandinavian design and, of course, in Finnish design.
