MY CAUSE MY CLEATS

An Initiative that Embodies “Heart & Sole“

In week 13, we kicked off My Cause My Cleats - a league-wide initiative that allows players to champion causes important to them with custom designed cleats worn in-game.

Players could donate their cleats to NFL Auction and 100% of proceeds from sales would go directly to their respective causes.

16 Canadian players honoured causes that were most important to them. Here are a few of their stories and the reasons behind their choice:

Player Sydney Brown | Eagles

Cause: Homelessness

Organization: Stand Up for Kids

I want kids to know that living in a shelter doesn’t have to be an end There is always a vision of hope and if they can see my brother and I playing in the NFL, and it helps them reach their goals then everything we have overcome was worth it

Growing up both my wife and I watched our fathers battle Diabetes I want to raise awareness and educate people on the seriousness of Diabetes and ways to support people living with this condition

Player Alex Singleton | Broncos

Cause: Disabilities

Organization: Special Olympics

I am inspired by my older sister, Ashley, who has Down syndrome and is a Special Olympics athlete I love to support the Special Olympics and advocate for a more inclusive society.
