COMPRESSED AIR ATTACHMENTS CONVERT PIPES INTO CONVEYORS

EKEͳ/Es ^/s ^ E^KZ >/D/E d ^ REQUIREMENT FOR THERMOWELLS

Exair’s Heavy Duty Threaded Line Vac is the company’s most powerful compressed air pipe conveyor. The attachment converts ordinary pipe into a powerful conveying system to move more material over longer distances, the company says. A hardened alloy construction resists wear from abrasive scrap, trim, and other bulk materials. The threaded version provides the same powerful performance as the company’s Heavy Duty Line Vacs with the added benefit of common threaded attachments. The standard threading allows easy attachment to common plumbing pipe and fittings, it adds. Units are said to offer more than h 50% h higher h throughput than standard line vacs.

CORIOLIS MASS FLOWMETER FOR ADVANCED PROCESS APPLICATIONS The Optimass 6400 is a Coriolis mass flowmeter from Krohne for the process industry. The twin bent tube meter operates in applications from process control in (petro) chemical environments and concentration measurements in the food and beverage industry to custody transfer filling and transport measurements in oil and gas. The device is suitable for cryogenic media like liquefied natural gas with temperatures down to -200°C, as well as applications involving temperatures up to 400°C or pressures up to 200 barg. Unit compliances include: SIL 2/3; CT: OIML R117, R137, MI-005, MI-002; API, AGA; and hygienic certifications. Communications protocols cover 3 x 4…20 mA, HART 7, Modbus, FF, Profibus-PA/DP, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, and Bluetooth. www.krohne.com

Z >ͳd/D dKd > KZ' E/ Z KE KEdZK> ^ E^/E' The 6000TOCi analyzer from Mettler Toledo provides rapid, continuous measurement of TOC levels in water systems. In comparison to batch systems that measure at intervals, analyzer users benefit from real-time data, the company says, thus ensuring that TOC excursions are never missed — even for a minute. The instrument uses proven UV oxidation technology and accurate conductivity sensors to provide repeatable and precise measurements, it adds, providing conclusive data to support regulatory requirements. The analyzer with real-time measurement function allows for comprehensive record keeping of trending, history, and key statistics to support compliance documentation. USB ports for printer and data logging allows users to maintain a complete sensor history record.

ABB has introduced the TSP341-N non-invasive temperature sensor. The device is said to provide a simpler and safer way of measuring process temperature without the need to shut down, drill a hole, or install a thermowell. The sensor includes a transmitter based on TTH300. Integrated new algorithms enable the high precise temperature calculation, the company says. Output via 4 to 20 mA and HART protocol. Accuracy and response time are in the range of temperature measurements with thermowell. The temperature sensor has global approvals for explosion protection up to zone 0. The non-invasive temperature sensor belongs to ABB’s product family SensyTemp TSP. It is listed in the related type examination certificates for explosion protection as SensyTemp TSP341-N.
