A Vision Forward:
Building Ankeny’s Future Together in 2026 As we begin a new year and look toward 2026, I am honored to step into the role of Chair of the Board of Directors for the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce. Building on the strong momentum established throughout 2025, our business community enters the year ahead positioned for continued growth, collaboration, and long-term success. I am grateful to serve alongside an exceptional group of leaders who are deeply committed to advancing our Chamber and strengthening Ankeny’s future. First, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our outgoing Chair and Board members for their leadership, dedication, and service. Their vision and commitment have helped elevate the Chamber, expand opportunities for our members, and establish a strong foundation that will guide us well into the years ahead. I am also excited to welcome our new Board members. Each brings valuable experience, insight, and perspective that will help shape the Chamber’s direction as we look to the future. Together with our returning Board members, we represent a diverse and engaged group of leaders united by a common goal: fostering a strong, innovative, and connected local economy. As Ankeny continues to grow, the Chamber’s role becomes increasingly important. The Chamber serves as more than a business resource—it is a catalyst for connection, collaboration, and community impact. Through local marketing opportunities, networking, advocacy, and business-to-business relationships, the Chamber helps businesses build trust, visibility, and meaningful connections. When businesses invest in one another locally, they help create a community that is resilient, welcoming, and forward-thinking. There is a simple but powerful idea that when likeminded people come together with a shared focus, the “cream rises to the top.” This principle defines the strength of our Chamber and our business community. By working collaboratively, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another, we elevate not just individual businesses, but the entire Ankeny economy. Growth is strongest when it is shared, and success is most impactful when it benefits the whole community. Looking ahead to 2026, our focus remains on delivering meaningful value to our members while positioning the Chamber for the future. We will continue
to prioritize advocacy, professional development, strategic networking, and initiatives that help businesses adapt, innovate, and thrive. Listening to our members and responding to the evolving needs of our community will remain central to our mission. The Chamber staff has curated an exciting and forward-looking calendar of events, including Legislative Updates, Mentoring for Women, Ankeny Chamber SummerFest, the Multicultural Business Summit, Witches Night Out, and Discover Ankeny. These events, along with regular networking opportunities and ribbon cuttings, serve as powerful touch points for connection, celebration, and community engagement. As we enter the year ahead, we are also launching our Total Resource Campaign, supported by more than 20 dedicated volunteers. Sponsorships secured through this effort are critical to funding the programs, events, advocacy, and professional development opportunities that allow the Chamber to serve both our members and the citizens of Ankeny. Want to be more visible in the community and seen as a leader? Consider sponsoring an event, appearing on our website, and supporting one or more of the 2026 events taking place with the Ankeny Chamber! All the opportunities the Chamber has available to be involved in our events and/or other marketing opportunities are available to purchase during our Total Resource Campaign (TRC). Once a year, January through March, our campaign takes place and is open to all current Ankeny Area Chamber members. All opportunities that are available for purchase are for the following 12 months. For example, the 2026 campaign will take place from late January 2026 - March 2026 and will have opportunities available taking place April 2026 - March 2027. Sponsorships range from $100 - $35,000. Every year the Chamber has over 600 opportunities open to our members. All sponsorships are on a first-come, firstserved basis. During the campaign, we have a group of volunteers who are well-versed in the TRC sponsorships and are here to help pair the right opportunity/event with your business. We are thrilled to have a great group of community volunteers selling sponsorships this year. Please reach out to any of our volunteers for more information. Letter from the Executive Director
Celebrating a Successful 2025 & Looking Ahead to 2026! This past year has been a remarkable reminder of what can happen when businesses, leaders, and neighbors unite under a shared commitment to strengthen our community. Throughout 2025, the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce saw tremendous momentum. We welcomed new businesses, supported longstanding members, and created initiatives designed to foster meaningful connections. From networking events and educational workshops to local partnerships and community celebrations, our members stepped up—showing resilience, creativity, and a genuine desire to support one another. These successes weren’t just chamber wins; they were wins for the entire community. Every new collaboration sparked opportunity. Every relationship built generates potential. And every member who engaged, whether attending events, sharing expertise, or championing local businesses, helped shape a stronger, more vibrant local economy. Our Chamber is more than an organization; it’s a network, a resource, and an advocate. In today’s everchanging business environment, chamber membership provides stability, visibility, and connection. Our role is to help members navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and access the tools they need to thrive. As we enter a new year, one thing remains clear: we are strongest when we work together. Relationshipbuilding is not just beneficial—it is essential. When businesses support each other, share knowledge, and show up for their community, everyone benefits. In 2026, we invite you to remain engaged, attend events, reach out to fellow members, ask for support when you need it, and offer support when you can. Your involvement is what transforms our Chamber from an organization into a force for community success. Towards the end of January, we will begin our Total Resource Campaign (TRC), where we will have volunteers out in the community providing sponsorship opportunities and Chamber memberships. Nicole is married to her husband of twenty years, Keith. They have two children, Liam and Sophia, who attend Ankeny Public Schools. They enjoy movies, being outdoors, and spending time as a family. Nicole has served in a number of roles for the Ankeny Chamber, including as Chamber Ambassador in 2024 and as a member of the General Board of Directors in 2025. She is a current member of the Ankeny Leadership Institute and will serve on the Chamber’s Executive Board in 2026.

Cody Gebauer is a lifelong Ankeny community member and the Co-Owner of both Gebauer Enterprises and Gimmie’s Mobile Golf Simulators. Deeply invested in the growth and vibrancy of the area, Cody has been an active leader within the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as Chair of Ankeny Young Cody Professionals, a member of the Gebauer Chamber TRC Committee, and the 2026 Chair of Ankeny Chamber SummerFest. He is also a graduate of the Ankeny Leadership Institute, where he further developed his passion for community engagement and collaborative leadership. His entrepreneurial background allows him to bring a practical, people-first mindset to community development, helping strengthen business relationships and create opportunities that support Ankeny’s continued growth. Cody and his wife, Laura, proudly run Gebauer Enterprises together and are raising two young children in the Ankeny school district, giving him a personal stake in the city’s long-term success.
