Cahal Dunne returns to Angola Gazebo on July 25th

At 7pm on Wednesday, July 25th Cahal Dunne of Pittsburgh, PA, who is referred to as the “Irish Piano Man” will return to the Gazebo in Angola’s Centennial Park. Cahal presents a oneman, fast moving, very entertaining show with his vocals, white grand piano, and many blazer changes during the evening. The showman appears throughout the Eastern portion of the country and features a yearly Florida circuit during the winter, and yes, he even appears in Ireland and will be going there shortly after the Angola Concert. The evening is sponsored by the Evans Township Lions Club and the Angola Park and Gazebo Committee. On Wednesday, August 1st Josie Waverly, a country star from Hilton, NY, will appear at the park after several years of absence. Her program is sponsored by Evans Bank and the Evans Agency. Concerts run every Wednesday through the end of August. The rain location for the concerts is the New Angola Theater on North Main St. Refreshments are available at the park. Daily Vacation Bible School is an opportunity for children to meet the Lord. The Faith Bible Baptist Church will host DVBS starting July 30-August 2nd from 6-8:30PM. Feel free to drop your children ages 5-12 off each or any night or come with them. There will be games, crafts, refreshments, bounce houses, and Bible time with Joe Kaiser from New Jersey. Joe is like a kid magnet. There will be plenty of adult supervision. All adult workers have had background screening. There is no cost. Your kids and their friends are welcome. Buffalo Hearing and Speech Opens a Sensory Room

Staff at Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center’s Angola Hoag school location designed and created a sensory room for their preschool students. This sensory room is a place for students to go individually or in small groups to relax and fulfill their sensory needs. Students were very excited to go to this new space and utilized it in ways that suited each of their needs whether it was tactile, visual, or mobile stimulation. Last Saturday, Grandview Bay Golf Course / Beachside Bar & Grill was hopping with the sounds of Two Grace’s, Grace Stumberg & Grace Lougan. BLOWOUT Camp Pioneer Helps out at The Evans Senior Center

Camp Pioneer which, is located right here in Angola is an organization that encourages the youth to be part of a giving mentality. While they have individuals of all kinds of diverse backgrounds and from all the states for their summer youth camp programs. They also partner with the Director of the Evans Senior center to assist with updates, create new items to be displayed at the senior center. This year we had the honor of the volunteers and staffs remove old shrubs and plant new bushes and enhanced the landscaping around the center. Not only was landscaping part of the plan, they removed material that was unsafe and repair each entrance way with new material and fresh paint. With that being said the staff and volunteers that provided their carpenter skills built three scatter tier plant shelves for the seniors lounge and lunch room which, were absolutely beautiful.
