There’s Still Time to Savor Summer in Evans-Angola Along Lake Erie Town of Evans offers a unique blend of rural charm, suburban living, and seasonal recreation, all within close proximity to Buffalo.
Angola, NY – As summer begins to wind down, the Town of Evans is highlighting the many opportunities that remain for residents and visitors to enjoy the community, from waterfront recreation and local dining to community events and activities taking place throughout Evans and Angola. Located just outside Buffalo and spanning 12 miles of scenic Lake Erie shoreline, Evans offers a variety of ways to enjoy the remaining weeks of summer. Bennett Beach, Sturgeon Point Marina, local parks, trails, and other waterfront areas provide opportunities for boating, fishing, kayaking, biking, hiking, and enjoying time along the lake. “The season doesn’t end in August, and there is still a lot happening throughout Evans and Angola,” said Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) Chair Val Stonitsch. “Our waterfront, local businesses, parks, and community events give people plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the area even through the Fall season.” The Town recently launched Explore Evans-Angola, a visitor resource designed to make it easier to find local attractions, outdoor recreation, dining, waterfront access, and other things to do throughout the community. The community has also remained active throughout the summer, with events ranging from live music at Sturgeon Point Marina, Lake Erie Beach to family and community activities. Upcoming events include the town-wide Angolaon-the-Lake Fall Music Festival on October 2nd and 3rd.
