(Reinhardt) Gerwitz and the late Paula (Rubeck) Gerwitz; father of Jonathan (Sara) Gerwitz, Kathy (Angelo) Gerwitz, Brian Gerwitz, and Nathaniel Gerwitz; step father of Jessica Sellers and Danielle (Aaron) Coventry; son of the late Roger and Shirley Gerwitz; brother of Mike (Maryanne) Gerwitz, Terry (Mark) Gerwitz and the late Daniel (Christine) Gerwitz and late Bruce Gerwitz; grandfather of Alex, Dominic, Kaliana, Angelo Jr., Trinity, Donte, Rorake, Seth and Eliza. Alan loved life and loved his family. Alan proudly served our country as an electrician in the US Navy from 1985 until his honorable discharge in 1994. He worked at naval bases in Norfolk, VA, and Charleston, SC, and served on two Navy ships, the USS Shenandoah and the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Interment services with Military Honors were held Monday, August 17, 2026, at 1PM in the Western New York National Cemetery, Corfu, NY. Arrangements by Addison Funeral Home, Inc.
