The Town of Evans is welcoming the start of the summer season with the launch of its new Explore Evans-Angola landing page, a centralized resource designed to help visitors easily discover where to go, what to do, and how to make the most of their time along Lake Erie.
Located just outside Buffalo and spanning 12 miles of scenic shoreline, Evans offers a relaxed, easy-to-navigate destination filled with outdoor recreation, local businesses, waterfront access, and everyday experiences that make it ideal for day trips and extended stays alike. The new website brings all of those opportunities together in one place, making it easier than ever for visitors to plan their visit.

The Lake Erie Beach Volunteer Fire Company held an event honoring all active and auxiliary members with their yearly awards for the community service provided by them to the fire protection district. Community service has a different meaning to our current era which is given by a judge as an alternative for a minor infraction. Not by this group of volunteers. They respond in hot or cold, wind or rain, putting our fires, directing traffic, providing medical assistance or transport, shelter during storms, water rescure, comforting people with a loss and all activities related to these events with no reason other than to help in a time of need.
They are ACTIVE: Marty Spence 5 years; Kevin Hughes 10 years; Paul Harenza 20 years; Paul Heath 25 years; Chris Gengler 20 years; Mike Emhof, Sr., Andy Gzyl, Carol Hulse 40 years; and Pat Marchant 50 years. Pat was the first woman to join the company and one of the first members on the first ambulance. She assisted in the delivery of a baby girl in the ambulance on May 30, 1980 and held several offices of LEB.
