They were charter members of the Eden Snowgoers, the Eden Hobos, and the 39ers. Leah was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron of Angola Chapter #184 in 1975 and again in 1988. She later had the honor of serving as District Deputy Grand Matron of the Second Erie District in 1991. She often spoke of her time in Eastern Star as some of the most fulfilling and memorable experiences of her life. Following Richard’s retirement, the couple spent winters in Yuma, Arizona, where Leah’s West Coast family had settled. Avid campers, they traveled the country each season in their RV. When long-distance travel became impractical, they remained in their Eden home and later enjoyed a brief period as snowbirds, spending winters with their daughter in Florida and summers in Eden. Leah survived a breast cancer diagnosis at age 83, but Alzheimer’s disease eventually necessitated memory care. Leah and Richard left their beloved Eden home in November 2024. For decades, that home had been the gathering place for holidays, birthdays, picnics, and family reunions. With her calm demeanor and everpresent, soothing music, “Grandma’s House” will always be remembered as a welcoming refuge, no matter how hectic life became. Leah spent her final year living near her husband, Richard, with him residing one floor above her in assisted living. Richard faithfully visited Leah daily, helping her at mealtimes, while staff looked on, touched by their enduring devotion. Leah also treasured the close attention of her son, Bob, and her grandson, Josh. Leah’s family extends sincere gratitude to her daughter-in-law, Eileen English, and to the staff of Dimensions Living Appleton and St. Croix Hospice for their compassion, support, and exceptional care, providing Leah with comfort and a peaceful end-of-life transition. Leah will be remembered for her cheerful, loving personality and for her gentle reminders to “stay positive and pay attention.” Leah is survived by her husband, Richard Bray of Eden, New York; her son, Robert Bray (Carol) of Porterfield, Wisconsin; her

She was born on April 15, 1938, and lived a life rooted in family, community, and simple joys. Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dan White, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion and cherished memories. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Norman Rechlin, and her siblings: Norman Rechlin (Pat), Marilyn Soehnlein (Ron), and Charles Rechlin (Cleo). She is lovingly survived by her children: Dan White (Tracy), Tom White (Lori Parker), David White, and Dawn White. Lucille was a proud and devoted grandmother to Joshua White, Austin White, Jarrett White, and Faith Vela, and she was blessed with several great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sister, Grace Seitz, her brother, Neil Rechlin, and many extended family members and dear friends. Lucille grew up in Roat Acres and carried a lifelong love for the shores of Lake Erie, where some of her happiest memories were made. A devoted mother and grandmother, she poured her heart into caring for her family while also dedicating many years of service to Lake Shore Schools. She found joy in traveling, camping, bowling, playing cards, and quilting—often creating beautiful, handmade pieces filled with love for those she cherished. Never one to miss a little fun, Lucille also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino and the laughter that came with it. Known for her kind spirit, steady presence, and generous heart, Lucille will be remembered for the warmth she brought into every room and the love she so freely gave. Her legacy lives on through the
