Our Vision All Saints Anglican School will offer a high quality, caring Christian education to the primary and secondary school students of Shepparton and surrounding communities. The School is named in honour of all the saints of Christianity, known and unknown, past and present. It will seek to engender in its students, parents and staff a clear identity and a strong sense of belonging, confidence, interdependence and faith. As a school of the Anglican Schools Commission, All Saints Anglican School will offer first‑rate educational programs to students whose families represent a wide cross section of the community. The School’s accessible fee structure will enable families to choose a high‑quality comprehensive independent education for their children with gospel values as their foundation.

Our School Motto The school’s motto, ‘Equipped to Serve’ is derived from Ephesians 4:11-12: “Christ has gifted some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, and still others to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of service, so that the body of Christ may grow strong.”

Welcome from the Chief Executive Officer Welcome to Victoria’s newest Anglican school. All Saints Anglican School is a school of the Anglican Schools Commission (ASC) situated on a large 16 hectare greenfields site. It will open in Term 1, 2024 at 320 Verney Road in Shepparton North. In the first year, the co-educational day School will cater for students in Preparatory to Year 7. By the sixth year of operation (2029), the School will offer all year levels from Prep to Year 12, catering for over 1,100 students. All Saints Anglican School will seek to provide excellence in education, stressing high academic standards, personalised pastoral care where each child is known, and a place where each student can fulfil their potential. All Saints Anglican School students will be given an education to prepare them to become contributing and successful members of the community and potential future leaders of that community. The School will aim to nurture in each student self-responsibility and initiative, a commitment to being the best they can be, with a sensitivity to and care for the needs of others. Teachers will stimulate in students intellectual curiosity, the capacity to tackle and solve problems, think creatively and logically, and the ability to work with others. Students will receive a Christian education in the Anglican tradition and be encouraged to use it as a basis for living. The School will expect students to show the highest possible standards of courtesy, dress and behaviour. The ASC has appointed the well-known Victorian firm Vincent Chrisp Architects (VCA) to develop the School’s Master Plan and Stage One. Staff at VCA’s Shepparton office are working with the Melbourne head office on this project and will be on hand through the construction of Stage One from later 2022 through 2023.

Enrolments are now open. Students of all faiths and none are welcome in ASC schools. Please refer to the later pages in this Prospectus for the application process. Learning A comprehensive and relevant curriculum will equip students with knowledge, skills, values and strategies that will assist them to live and work successfully, and with purpose. The School will meet all requirements of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority and offer a comprehensive range of subjects to students. The curriculum will follow a developmental sequence from Preparatory through the Junior School and into the Secondary School. Co-curricular Program and Outdoor Education

Religious Studies is an academic subject in ASC schools and is taught at all year levels. Students will be provided with an engaging and intellectually rigorous program where they feel confident to think, question, challenge, investigate and reflect as they shape their beliefs and values.

Programs will be structured to meet the needs of students, and to capitalise on the expertise of staff and parents as well as using the local environment. The School will field teams in local sporting competitions and also run inter-house carnivals in Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming.

All Saints Anglican School aims to develop an extensive, diverse and challenging Co-curricular Program across Sports and the Arts.

Outdoor Education experiences will be offered at all year levels to allow each student to venture slightly beyond their comfort zone and, as a result of their journey, arrive at a more clearly understood self. Developmentally sequential programs will be operated by School staff and external providers.

The Arts will be an important focus area for the School. There will be instrumental and choral groups which will perform locally and at School functions and events. The School will offer instrumental music lessons through peripatetic tutors. Drama, Public Speaking and Debating will be promoted.

Pastoral Care and Worship Communities that care for each other and treat people with dignity and respect are a hallmark of Anglican schools. All Saints Anglican School will develop a strong pastoral care program, with opportunities for individual support and guidance. The responsibility for pastoral care will lie with every member of staff. A pastoral care teacher or tutor will seek to ensure that each young person in their care is known, experiencing a sense of belonging and acceptance. A House system will be established which forms the basis of sporting and cultural competition, pastoral care and administration. All students will be allocated to a House, and members of the one family will usually be placed in the same House.

Chaplaincy services are an integral part of pastoral care in Anglican schools. Regular opportunities for worship will enable students, staff and families to gather as a community to celebrate life in all its fullness. Religious Studies and chapel services are a part of the School’s core curriculum for all students. In time, the School will have a dedicated Chapel built on site.

Service Learning ‘Equipped to Serve’ is the motto of All Saints Anglican School. Service will be central to our identity as a school community. Students will be encouraged to participate in a wide range of Service Learning programs. These programs will be designed to help students serve the local community and beyond, while growing in character.

All Saints Anglican School is located on 16 hectares of land at 320 Verney Road, Shepparton North, six kilometres from the Shepparton town centre. The School is low fee and co-educational. It is easily accessible by car and the school bus network.

The development of outstanding teaching and learning facilities will be a key component of Stage One and will include state-of-the-art primary and junior secondary school buildings, specialist classes for Music and Art, and a STEAM centre housing Design and Technology, Science and Hospitality facilities.

The School will ultimately cater for all year levels from Preparatory to Year 12.

Stage One will also include a hockey/ soccer field and sports courts, a canteen and covered area.

All Saints Anglican School is committed to establishing other outstanding sporting facilities on site. In time, these facilities will include a full AFL/cricket oval with a 400 metre athletics track and a gymnasium. In due course, a Chapel and Performing Arts Centre will also form part of the School’s facilities.

Governance Anglican Schools Commission All Saints Anglican School is owned by The Anglican Schools Commission (Inc). The ASC is a separately incorporated entity, governed by a Board. Established in 1985, the Anglican Schools Commission’s core purpose is to establish and support low fee Anglican systemic schools which provide a high quality, inclusive, caring Christian education. The ASC currently comprises 15 low fee, co-educational schools, over 18 campuses in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia. The ASC is committed to investing in the Greater Shepparton community, creating local jobs during the construction phases and employing around 150 staff when the school reaches capacity. School Council From January 2024, the All Saints Anglican School Council will have the responsibility of overseeing the School on behalf of the ASC in accordance with a School Charter and policies established by the ASC. The School Council will comprise appropriately qualified and skilled people from the region and beyond. The Principal will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the School. The Principal will commence in 2023 and will appoint teaching and support staff.

How to Enrol 1 Further information about enrolling at All Saints Anglican School may be obtained by contacting the school’s Enrolments Officer at enrolments@allsaints.vic.edu.au or 1800 978 701. 2 An online Registration of Interest in Enrolment form should be completed for each child and submitted with a non-refundable registration fee of $55 per child (including GST). This fee is designed to cover administration costs associated with enrolments and interviews. Other documentation will be required to be submitted, as per the checklist provided in this form. It is important to note that the completion of a Registration of Interest in Enrolment form and payment of the Registration Fee does not guarantee a place at the School. Confirmation of enrolment will be conditional to a formal offer of a place from the School, and payment of a non-refundable Enrolment Fee. Please note: For Preparatory entry, the child must turn five years of age on or before 30 April in the year of entry. Children who do not meet this requirement will not be accepted for admission.

3 Following receipt of a Registration of Interest in Enrolment form, a time will be arranged for you and your child/ren to meet with the Principal (or delegate). At this interview you should accurately represent the needs of your child as evidenced through current and previous schooling, day care or other observations. Until the appointment of the Principal in 2023, the Principal (or delegate) from other local ASC schools will meet with you and your child/ren as part of the enrolment process. 4 A formal offer of a place at the School is made following the successful completion of this process. 5 Parents accept the offer of a place by returning to the School the signed documentation requested in the Letter of Offer and a completed Application for Enrolment and Enrolment Agreement form. A non‑refundable enrolment fee of $150 per child is required to be paid at this time. Please note that despite the Letter of Offer being sent, the enrolment is not confirmed until the requested signed documentation and enrolment fee are received by the School. The Fees and Charges Information Booklet (included in the enrolment pack) which outlines the tuition fees and charges, discounts and conditions for the payment of accounts should be read in conjunction with the above information.
