Fenway Cultural Center
Civic + Cultural
Fenway, Boston, MA | Academic Studio | Spring 2025
Carved into the landscape beside Boston’s MFA, this cultural center reopens art to the public. A fountain and seating trace the buried Stony Brook line, while an underground gallery showc ases graffiti and murals; the street-level façade becomes a rotating canvas for local artists. Program clusters around a sc ulptural courtyard with amphitheater, free auditorium, galleries, and studios—stitching Huntington Avenue’s institutional spine to the Fenway neighborhood and fostering continuous community art-making.

Roxbury Heritage Athenaeum
Housing + Civic
Roxbury, Boston, MA | Academic Studio | Fall 2023
The Roxbury Heritage Athenaeum stitches a public library, adaptable event spaces, and 10 affordable apartments into one civic hub on Blue Hill Avenue. A raised podium becomes an open urban commons, while lifting the homes for light, air, and privacy. Form and circulation trace local pedestrian flows and orient to prevailing breezes. Passive cross-ventilation, brisesoleil shading, and deep overhangs temper Boston’s climate, delivering low-energy comfort and making the section itself the building’s environmental diagram.

Educational + Technology
Mission Hill, Boston, MA | Academic Studio | Fall 2024
Linking MassArt, Wentworth, and Mission Hill, the STEAM Building offers shared labs and classrooms open to students and neighbors alike. Adaptable studios flip into FabLabs—melding CNC, robotics, and craft—to spark cross-disciplinary making and public workshops. Transparent ground floors invite passers-by, while upper terraces overlook Mission Hill neighborhood, signaling learning in action. By blending institu tional resources with community access, the project becomes a civic hinge for collaboration, educational equity, and social connection.

Everett Elementary School and Library
Educational + Nature Integration
Rivergreen, Everett, MA | Academic Studio | Spring 2024
Everett Elementary weaves learning through nature. A spiral timber library wraps a courtyard garden; its ramp invites movement and pause while anchoring the campus as a public node. Classroom wings orient for daylight yet retain quiet enclosure, offering study nooks, shared commons, and rooftop terraces for outdoor lessons. Cross-laminated timber and glulam frame both structure and pedagogy—tactile markers of sus tainability. Light, shadow, and landscape merge to foster concentration, collaboration, and a sense of care across all age groups.

Ground-floor lecture hall, rooftop amphitheater: the hall’s ceiling forms the stepped outdoor seating, turning the raised plaza into a seasonal hub for performances and impromptu learning.
Hand-drawn section illustrating wall/roof detail, secondary structure and library public use
A tree-filled courtyard anchors the design—providing a calm biophilic pause and stitching interior spaces to the surrounding landscape.
wall/roof detail
A spiraling glulam frame encloses the garden, fusing architecture with nature; CLT and glulam beams radiate from this core to guide circulation, light, and structural expression.
A gentle spiral ramp coils around the garden, delivering universal access and a reflective journey that binds architecture to nature.
The reading and collaboration areas are defined by built-in furniture, where bookshelves act as soft dividers—creating pockets of privacy and intimacy within the open space.

House in the Woods
Residential + Landscape Immersion
Cape Cod, MA | Academic Studio | Fall 2025
House in the Woods transforms a Cape Cod cottage into an artist retreat by grafting a new timber wing onto the existing structure. The original house becomes communal kitchen, studio, and living areas, while the addition shelters bedrooms and baths—balancing social excha nge with private reflection. Two volumes converse through light-filled view corridors and rhythmic D ouglas-fir cladding. Glulam frame, standing-seam roof, rainscreen walls, natural-fiber insulation, and p assive cross-ventilation deliver durable, low-energy comfort tuned to the forest microclimate.

Dream Series
Raised amid Colombia’s vibrant density, I first met art as a quiet fascination. Architecture soon became my ambition, fueled by a need to shape better futures through d esign. This black-and-white series arose during a liminal moment—leaving home, facing uncertainty, beginning again. The camera offered reflection: in transient street scenes I disappear, catching the extraordinary within the everyday. Photography became my dreamscape, where presence dissolves and only the dis tilled essence of light, form, and human motion endures.
