Andrea Merchán

Architect, engineer, and scenographer, her practice unfolds across scenography, museography, and research, where space becomes a medium for critical inquiry and cultural expression. She explores the interplay between architecture, image, and thought, crafting spatial narratives that articulate both conceptual depth and sensory experience. She is currently a PhD candidate in Architectural Communication at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, following a Master’s degree in Architecture and Contemporary Culture. Her work brings together research, curatorial practice, and cultural management with a rigorous and refined aesthetic sensibility. As a visual creator, she develops projects in ephemeral architectures, installations, and audiovisual environments, engaging video installation and video mapping as languages of light and time to reveal the poetic potential of space.
