Dinosaurs

Billions of years ago, the Earth was a completely different planet. Back then Earth was full of plants. The trees were much taller and bigger than today. Earth was full of oxygen and that made creatures much bigger. Dinosaurs were the dominating species back then.
Dinosaurs lived in three different periods: Triassic period, Jurassic period and Cretaceous period.
Triassic Period was between 252 - 201 million years ago. In the Triassic period, two of the species of dinosaurs that lived, were Coelophysis, Shonisaurus. Shonisaurus dinosaurs lived under water.
Prestosuchus is another species from that period. The Jurassic period was between 201 - 145 million years ago. Species like the Massopondylus, Megalosaurus, Stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus lived in the Jurassic period. The Cretaceous period was between 145 – 66 million years ago. In the Cretaceous period dinosaurs like Spinosaurus, Velociraptor, Tyrannosaurus rex and others walked the planet.
How did the dinosaurs become extinct?
Scientists have a few theories as to how the dinosaurs may have become extinct. One theory scientists have, is that, a big asteroid crashed into earth. This caused a huge explosion and the dinosaurs died from the impact. The other theory is that, because of ice age the dinosaur’s natural habitat was lost and they died as a result. Another theory is that there were lot of volcanic eruptions which covered the earth with smoke and dinosaurs died of suffocation.
But then again, we may never know what exactly happened.

Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo

Recently, Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo made history by becoming the first spacecraft to embark from the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico. However, what makes this expedition even more important than an expedition into space is the nature of the vehicle itself. Virgin Galactic as a company focuses on providing knowledge and information to everyday passengers known as space tourists. In this way, they are on the path to make space more accessible than ever before As a commercial space craft providing such service, they are among the first of their kind. The service itself revolves around the structure of their spacecraft. With the exception of the rocket fuel that they are input into the ship, everything else is completely reusable. This helps make such tourist experiences feasible. The engine itself is a hybrid, composed of both a liquid and solid rocket engine. One of the most unique aspects of this ship is the adaptability and versatility of the ship in different environments. The ship’s unique structure enables it to fold its wings and tail in order to make it more aerodynamic for re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere. This allows for the ship to maintain stability and control its rate of deceleration as it makes its return
Defining its tourist experience, Virgin Galactic has designed their ship with a passenger that for the 8 passengers on every flight, the out of gravity experience will take place in a spacious cabin with an abundance of windows used to take in the view. The most recent Virgin Galactic flight was a test to ensure the competency of . Following three days of training, each passenger will be boarded onto a SpaceShip2 with a custom fitted spacesuit. Their assent will be halted after an altitude of about 50,000 feet. At this point their pilot would shut off the motor in the ship, enabling the passengers to feel weightlessness for multiple minutes before the pilot restarts the rocket, changes the shape of the spacecraft and makes the return back to Earth. The curtain rises and applause fills the room
The puppet show is back in the phantom town
The master moves the pieces at his will with strings He remains their king with the ghostly crown
The puppets dance at their master’s command While the children laughed and the adults smiled Yet no one ever noticed the marionettes That lay broken, unwanted, cast aside
The bright marionettes were welcomed with cheers Their sadness masked with painted smiles The marionettes played their part in silence Fearing abandonment, with no one for miles
The marionettes killed their own in cold-blood
For the amusement of the spectators who didn’t shed a tear Robbed of their dignity, their choice, their voice Losing themselves within their darkest fear
The marionettes never grew a heart They were made of wood, plastic and metal Yet they found themselves in pain, silenced and Consumed in their anguish that never settled
Their arms snapped off, their legs were torn But the marionettes continued to play Till one moment when they were shattered beyond repair They were thrown outside at the end of the day
Soon the pretty marionettes were forgotten and replaced; The play never stopped, but the show was over for the broken Marionettes
