Recently, the management team and I met with the supervisor of RD Johnson Construction, who is completing the renovation work on the tower elevator lobbies. They began working on Monday, August 14, 2023, and they are reporting that the project is about 50% complete. The paint in the north tower is complete, and the first coat of paint is complete from the Penthouse level to floor No. 10 in the south tower. Installation of the crown molding that will construct the cove lighting in the elevator lobby ceiling is underway. They are trying to finish three floors per day, starting at the top of the north tower working downward.

The floor prep and carpeting installation are underway, and the contractor is optimistic that they can install four floors of carpeting per week. RD Johnson is communicating with Darci to inform you of the days and times when the installation of the carpet will transpire on your floor. We can expect all the painting to be complete before the end of November and the carpet to be complete later in December. Dale and the maintenance team are installing the new light fixtures, including the new EXIT signs. They are also installing the new door hardware on your apartment door. Dale is planning to install the lighting and door hardware as we receive the materials. Again, Darci and Dale will keep you informed what date your apartment door work will begin. Dale reports that the tower renovation is on budget, and we are about 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule. Looking ahead, it looks like we will have all the messy work out of the way before the holidays and finishing the final details in the first quarter of 2024.
