An Underused Backyard
The homeowners had a large backyard that lacked purpose and structure Drainage issues, an aging concrete slab, and overgrown planting beds left the space unusable for entertaining or relaxing. They wanted a functional outdoor living area that could host gatherings, provide privacy, and reflect their personal style
Function, Practicality, Precision
Following our proven project roadmap, we started with a 90-minute on-site consultation to understand the homeowners' goals Our design team created a custom layout addressing traffic flow, drainage, privacy, and entertainment needs Every element was planned with exact dimensions and material quantities before construction began. The project included removal of the existing concrete slab, full site grading to correct drainage, and installation of a custom paver patio with integrated seat walls A 40-foot retaining wall created a tiered landscape with defined planting beds We installed night lighting throughout the space, added 24 new shrubs and perennials selected for Wisconsin's climate, and finished with a natural stone fire pit area for year-round enjoyment
