Friede auf Erden (the film) tells the story of a tragic escape and is based on a German theatrical performance written in Amsterdam during the Second World War.
We begin from the notion that telling a story
necessarily means altering that history. The film raises questions about our relationship with history and its relevance to the present, and seeks a way to express a wish for peace in 2025.
