City leaders gave the green light this week to key funding applications and a timeline extension that will allow two major projects—Sundance Place and the wastewater treatment facility—to
hit their fall completion targets, despite weather delays and soil concerns. Pay applications for the Wastewater Treatment Facility and Sundance Place will be submitted to continue the ongoing projects. A change order was also issued for Sundance Place. City staff was thanked by City Administrator Alex Mansfield for a fun and safe weekend, acknowledging those who made the Fall Festival possible. An opportunity for residents to share their input on where they would like the city to focus its efforts will be held Tuesday, September 23, at the Amery City Hall. The open house will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. MSA provided a detailed update on the progress of their projects, with some advancing and others nearing completion. As a formality, the council voted on a resolution for the comprehensive plan, as required by state law. The council could not have adopted the plan without first passing this resolution.

Amery School District receiving $50,000 grant from T-Mobile

T-Mobile is awarding the Amery School District its Hometown Grant. This year, 25 towns earned
the grant, bringing the total number of recipients to 425 since the program began. Starting in 2021, T-Mobile launched its initiative to help small and rural towns fund local projects. Each town awarded
the grant will receive upwards of $50,000. Selections happen quarterly and are limited to towns with
