Kinder Letter ‘’o’’ Activity (es) Kinder students learned how to make an ‘‘O’’melette and how to cut ‘‘O’’nions while learning the letter O. AST’s Chef Saul Melgar and Chef mom Karen Simón shared their cooking skills with our students. A HUGE thank you to the room moms for always helping the teachers out with these creative activities.

1st grade Día del Niño Celebration (Social Responsibility program) Train Your Dragon 3. 1st grade, as part of their Social Responsibility Program, It was an incredible morning for ourcelebrated students! Día del Niño for the children of the General Services’ staff. Spending time with our extended families was extremely gratifying for all. Thank you to the first grade teachers, students and room moms for organizing this amazing activity!

Absh track & field Tournament, san pedro sula(athletics)
Congratulations to our Track & Field team who represented AST in San Pedro Sula last week. Our team did an outstanding job, finishing 2nd place in the overall medal count. AST won, with a team of 23 athletes, 16 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 8 bronze medals. PROUD EAGLES!

Pre-aasca basketball tournament Our Athletic Department sponsored a Pre AASCA to simulate our upcoming AASCA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT to be held at our school from Oct. 23 – Oct 26. The tournament proved to be great practice for our teams. Congratulations to the Athletic Department for putting together these great tournaments! OPERATION SMILE Club DIA DEL NIÑO celebration, PESPIRE
Operation Smile club continued their tradition of visiting Escuela Monseñor Turcios in Pespire, Choluteca to celebrate Children’s Day. Our eagles shared their time with 660 students as well as sandwiches, donuts, candies, and refreshments. They played in each classroom and exchanged different experiences. Thank you OP Smile, Pespire had a blast like always!
OS club members helped collect garbage after the event. GO EAGLES!

Alumni Corner HIBRIDUZ JAZZ CONCERt All who attended experienced a SPECTACULAR night at the Hibriduz Jazz Concert sponsored by the American School of Tegucigalpa Alumni Association (ASTAA). ASTAA and Ficohsa joined forces to offer a cultural and patriotic night to the community. Hibriduz Jazz band came to the Performing Arts Center to play great Jazz music. One of the highlights of the night was when Mr. Marco Ferrera’s 9th and 10th grade band students performed together with Hibriduz. A BIG thank you to all our Alumni and guests who attended!
