PANAMUN 2019, Panama city (Ms & HS) MS Debate Club and HS MUN club went to Panama City to participate in the conference: PANAMUN XVII Building Bridges: Confronting Global Polarization. During three productive days our 14 delegates collaborated and put into practice their critical thinking skills in order to establish solutions. We are proud to recognize the hard work of all 14 delegates that stood out and presented their positions, publicly speaking, some for the first time, to delegates of many different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Many came back meeting new friends and excited for future MUN experiences. MS Debate Club: Ms. Guísela Riedel (Advisor), Gustavo Lara, Camila Corrales, Guillermo Noriega, José Miguel Segura, Ricardo Mazariegos, Mauricio Hasbun, Héctor André Perdomo, Adriana Atala. STuco pep rally Stuco organized a Pep Rally to cheer our basketball teams before the AASCA tournament. The event started off with a brilliant video produced by Fernando López (2021) of our teams. STUCO dedicated this video to student athlete Cris Larios who suffered a knee injury one week prior to the tournament.
AST Teachers lost the friendly ‘‘student-teacher’’ game and got a pie in the face. Thank you teachers for being such great sports!

AASCA BASKETBALL Tournament, double Atlantic Division
Champions! Our Varsity Girls and Boys teams finished the AASCA Basketball Tournament 2019 in 1st Place. Our teams defeated Lincoln School from Costa Rica and EIS from San Pedro Sula in two very tight and excruciating games. A HUGE thank you to all our Eagles for an amazing 4 days. TEAMWORK!

Alumni Corner Said Nimer (‘10) Alumnus Said Nimer earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Tecnologica Centroamericana (UNITEC). He started working in Munditelas where he gained experience in sales. In 2016, he moved to Cocatel as Operational Manager where he carries out his job outstandingly. While working in Cocatel, Said got his Master’s in Business Management with orientation in Marketing at UNITEC. He is currently working on his MBA in ADEN Business School. His great work has led him to be recognized among the media as he manages client portfolios of the largest technology companies in Honduras. Said has obtained recognition and has taken different courses such as Effective Speaking & Human Relations in Dale Carnegie & Associates. For him it is not all about work, Said is also a volunteer in Visión en Acción where he helps different communities in Honduras. With the help of Said and Cocatel, we were able to livestream the AASCA Tournament last week, and we want to thank Said for always giving back to the Eagles’ nest!
