Kinder Tug of War (PS) Our little ones from Kinder had a Tug of War tied into the push and pull science unit. The game demonstrated the effects of push and pull in a ‘‘real world’’ fun way. Our eagles also displayed great sportsmanship and good character by high fiving and congratulating each other after each match!

Middle School Bullying Survey Result Middle School Counselors, Ms. Marielos Quesada, and Ms. Ana Maria León Gómez presented Survey Results Data and the Status of Middle School Bullying to all MS parents. In this Character Ed talk they analyzed the results of a bullying survey students took last semester.

Parents learned what their children currently think about bullying, followed by advice from our counselors on how to detect, prevent, and stop bullying in MS and life

AASCA Leadership 2019 Train Your Dragon 3. went to Antigua, Guatemala to represent AST in the Members of our STUCO It was an incredible morning for our students! AASCA Leadership 2019. In these workshops our students made new acquaintances, as well as how to influence others through different leadership skills.

Alumni Corner Juan Pablo Handal (2000) Alumnus Juan Pablo Handal is a recognized ophthalmologist with training in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery. After his school years at AST, Juan Pablo, received his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras, followed by residency training at the Barraquer Institute of America in Bogota, Colombia. He then received an International Clinical Fellowship in Cornea, Anterior Segment, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at Eye Consultants of Atlanta, followed by a Surgical Anterior Segment Fellowship in COFCA (Clínica Oftalmológica del Caribe) in Barranquilla, Colombia where he was appointed Chief Fellow. Today, he is a member of the Board of Directors of ECHO Foundation, USA. Also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is a great Doctor and a proud eagle! Congratulations to Juan Pablo for all his success! #goeagles
